Chapter 2

Lexi woke up the following day with a boy in front of her growling they whined in fear "I told you to stay at school, little Dragonair now look what's happened those people died because of you," he said, "no, no, no please, no mom, dad!" They screamed.

They shot up in the dark as the woman ran in "what's wrong, Lexi? Are you okay?" she asked.

They clang to the woman, scared "it's okay, it's just you and no one else is here," she said, "I had a nightmare" they said, "It's okay, sweetie, no one will get youI promise the monsters won't get you" she said, "okay, what time is it" they asked, "its almost five my son is home now tending to the sheep and cattle" she said, "I'm hungry" they said, "okay come on I'll make you something" she said.

Lexi walked with the woman to the kitchen and sat at the table the woman set a sandwich down on the table, and they picked it up and ate it "thsnks," they said.

The front door opened, and the man from before entered with a boy he looked like the man with dark brown hair and blue eyes, smiling and laughing with his dad he wore a blue checkered flannel with black jeans and brown boots he came to a stop when he saw them and his mother "Mom, who's this?" he asked, "this is Lexi, hopefully your sister, if she'll let us adopt her, her family abandoned her," she said.

They were shocked that these people wanted them to join their family "I would like that, ma'am," they said.

She smiled, picking up Lexi and holding them close "that's great, then; joshie meet your sister, Lexi I can't wait to have fun with you, Lexi you made me the happiest mother," she said.

Lexi smiled as the boy looked at them, not smiling.

She put them down "will go shopping tomorrow for clothes for you if that's okay, Lexi," she asked "of course, it is," they said.

They walked to the living room and sat on the floor, but the older boy grabbed them "what are you doing here?" he growled. "Wh..what.. do you mean?" they asked, "stop playing stupid I know who you are, dragon," he said.

Their eyes widened as they looked at them, his eyes now golden like theirs "what do you mean? Who are you?" They asked, "I am the son of a dragon slayer" he siad, "but you have eyes like mine are you not a dragon yourself" they asked. "yes i am but not even these people know I am if they did they would kill me and now you these people this village were once slattured by dragons they destroyed their lands their crops their herds and lands they had to rebuild everything and devoted to kill if they ever found one agian they would kill it take it from piece to piece so I ask again what are you doing here i have already claimed this as my home so get lost girl" he said. "first off i am not a girl I am a they them and second of I did not know that okay i just flew around looking for food to feed myself and found this sheep herd" they siad. "you ate some of our sheep" he asked, "not the point but I was running from that stupid creature school my parents put me in they said it would protect me but i hated it I hated being away form them from my dad they say it was for protection but i know they just didnt want me all my mother ever did was stay away from us she never came home never once visited so fuck them i just want to be happy and I wasn't happy them the woman and man took me in and I was happy" they siad.

The older boy looked at them "so you had a family they locked you away at a school, and now you fled and found my home and ate my sheep," he asked, "yes" They said. "Haha, you are crazy well, welcome, Lexi I am Joshie, as you know, and the woman is called Molly, and the man is David they have given me a wonderful life, and I'm sure you will have a great life too with them," he said, "how old are you and what about your life?" they asked. I am almost sixteen my parents hated what they created they hated the monster they had given birth to, so they stashed me here and left me on these people's doorstep alone, not knowing I found out on my own what I was at least I now have someone to call my family a fellow dragon," he said.
