~TORETTO's
Like every other workday, my morning starts at Toretto's cafe behind the bar. With Mia by my side, I'm going through some car magazines, talking about stuff we can buy for Mazda RX-7 FD from '93 that has a new place in our garage. While Mia and I were talking, truck from Harry's parked in front of the cafe.
Its red color caught our attention, revealing tall blonde dude that has been coming over here for the past few weeks for breakfast-obviously hungry for Mia's attention.„And here's your prince on white horse... or should I say red?"
I laughed making Mia roll her eyes while trying to hide the laughter.
He entered into the room, so confident yet so shy, approaching our bar like every morning."You go girl!", i whispered.
"Please!"Mia replied nervously, turning herself back to our customer, while i left two love birds alone, heading to Dom's office.
"Tuna on white, no crust, right?", Mia said already knowing his order.
"I don't know. How is it?", flirty said Brian.
"Every day, for the last three weeks,
you've come here, asking how the tuna is.
Now, it was crappy yesterday.
It was crappy the day before."She was saying turning her back on him while making his sandwich, then saying while facing him again.
"And guess what? It hasn't changed."
"I'll have the tuna.", Brian said smirking.
"No crust?"
"No crust."
Mia handed him a sandwich while her smile was reflecting in his blue eyes.
While all this was happening, Dom was sitting by his desk, focused on the papers he was reading. Cracking of the old doorknob made him look in my direction. Our eyes met.
He left papers, turning his body towards me to face me. His pearly whites lighted this shit hole of office."What's up with you?", i said looking at all those papers at his desk.
He quickly collected them and put them aside, cleaning the mess; his face full of concern.
"I was just dealing with bills. Somehow we
exceeded the limit again.", he said not looking me in the eyes.Silence filled the room, the struggle is getting bigger and bigger. We both acted embarrassed, like we were still those kids playing unbothered outside on the street with sand and mud, trying to act mature and smart for strange corners of adulthood. Maybe we still are those kids that will never grow up, maybe we are always going to be. I guess we'll never know.
"We'll get trough this... I mean tonight is the race night, right?"
I said while approaching him. He stood up.
"And i'm enough lucky to be with the best racer ever in the whole LA."
That made him let out a laugh, putting smile on his concerned face.
"Who could that be?"
He looked me straight in the eyes full of love.
"I don't know..."
I teased.
"Maybe... Hector?", I laughed.
"Oh yeah?", he said laughing surprised.
"Just watch me."He held my hands, watching me in the eyes.
Meanwhile in the cafe, things were getting warmed up. Roaring of the motors interrupted Brian's breakfast. While exiting their cars, Vince and Jesse were talking, while Letty and Leon were following them from behind.
