August 4th, 1987, Harlem, New York. In the early morning, Carl Tyson & Joy White took their 19-day-old daughter, Carlina White, to the hospital after discovering that she had a 103-degree fever. The young girl was brought into the pediatric unit. A while later, a "Nurse" entered the young girl's room and abducted the young girl. Soon, it was then discovered that the young girl was missing.

The police were soon brought in, where they examined a suspect, described as being in their thirties, tall, heavyset, and with a slightly southern accent. Police soon were told that a woman was seen wandering around the hospital for at least three weeks.

The episode aired on January 25th, 1989. In 2011, 24 years later, a young woman named Nejdra Nace became suspicious of her family after they could not produce a birth certificate or social security card. She could also not obtain a driver's license due to a lack of paperwork. Nejdra's mother, Ann Pettway, then confessed that she was not her biological mother. So Nejdra began looking into cases of missing persons in 1987. She discovered the case of Carlina White. She then found an age progression photo and noticed a resemblance. Police were informed, and a DNA test confirmed Nejdra as the lost Carlina White.

Ann Pettway, who already had a criminal record, including embezzlement, forgery, theft, and drugs, was arrested. Ann Pettway confessed that during the time, she had had several miscarriages and believed she was unable to have children of her own. In 2012, Ann Pettway was found guilty of kidnapping and was sentenced to twelve years in prison.

Carlina was soon reunited with her biological parents, who never gave up hope of finding her 24 years later.
