Building confidence is a bit like playing Jenga. It can take a while to build up the tower, but it can be knocked down in seconds. It being both confidence and the tower.

Confidence can be for many things. Whether that be physical, or mental. It could be a specific skill that one in their mind isn't good at. Or a project they might've worked on.

To be more confident, one must blossom. Open up, just like a flower does in spring.

Hyeongjun was one of the quietest and most unconfident boys at their school.

The boy never raised his hand in class, usually was at the very back alone and was often found in the school building during lunch. Whenever anyone tried to talk to Hyeongjun, he'd go completely quiet. He'd feel scared, nervous. Unconfident about what he might say.

There was only one person that could make him bloom. But he wasn't around much.

Being in another class, Seungmin couldn't see the younger boy much. He hated the fact that they had been separated. He didn't mind being alone, he could easily make friends, he already had made four since the start of the year. Hyeongjun was completely closed off to other people.

But any second that he could. Seungmin would go over to him. He never wanted to be apart.

Seungmin always knew where to find the boy, as if they were connected. Although he didn't care about soulmates much, he was pretty sure that Hyeongjun and him were soulmates.

"Hey Hyeongjun" A calming voice greeted him. It was obviously Oh Seungmin. It was one of the rare instances that Hyeongjun would smile.

"Hi Seungmin" The student sat next to him, they were alone in the library. Hyeongjun was often in the library, it was quiet, and he could easily hide himself. Nobody would approach him there. Well, apart from Seungmin of course.

Seungmin quickly looked around before quickly giving a peck on Hyeongjun's lips.

The two were dating in secret since last year, they had been friends since childhood. Seungmin seemed to have been the only one to have broken Hyeongjun's shell and discovered his beautiful soul.

"How's your day going so far?" Seungmin was usually the one starting conversations, often talking to himself, but he knew that Hyeongjun didn't mind. It was one of the reasons that he had fallen in love with him to begin with.

"Good" Although his response seemed bland to someone who didn't know him, Seungmin knew that he just wasn't someone chatty.

"I'm glad" Seungmin smiled, it was the usual answer from Hyeongjun. Sometimes, the older boy was pretty sure that he was lying, but didn't want to talk about it.

"You seemed down yesterday though" Although they didn't talk, Seungmin was definitely looking at him and he noticed. He was pretty sure at least one of his new friends had noticed.

"I'm.. I'm fine" Seungmin could tell this was a lie. He wasn't sure if they should continue with the subject.

"You can be truthful with me, but you don't have to" Seungmin rested his chin on the boy's shoulder. He then took Hyeongjun's hand while waiting for an answer.

"They found out I'm gay" The they Hyeongjun was referencing was his class. Seungmin understood that, but he didn't know how they could know.

"They overheard us talking, they only know about me" Hyeongjun bit his lower lip.

"If they say anything bad, I'll beat them up" Seungmin said truthfully, it caused the younger boy to awkwardly laugh. He couldn't tell if Seungmin was being genuine or just joking around.

"Oh I got you a birthday gift!" Seungmin grabbed his bag from under the chair.

"We're in the month of October" Hyeongjun laughed while trying to see what Seungmin had brought him.

"Whatever, it's a second gift!" Seungmin grinned at Hyeongjun, he made the younger boy close his eyes.

"You already got me three, two on my actual birthday, one on September, you can stop by now" Hyeongjun giggled while feeling the item in his hands. There were actually two items.

"You can open your eyes now!" Seungmin explained excitedly. He couldn't wait for Hyeongjun's reaction.

There was a frame and a beanie in his hands. In the frame, a picture of the two at the beach was in the middle. The simple frame was decorated with stickers.

The beanie was simple, but it was one that Hyeongjun would definitely be wearing.

"Aw, thank you so much Seungmin!" Hyeongjun quickly kissed the boy on the lips.

Seungmin didn't reply, he was fully entranced by Hyeongjun's beauty. He couldn't get over how cute the boy looked. He accidentally cut his boyfriend off.

"You're beautiful"
