Out of nowhere in the middle of the night, Coder 001 finally greets Anthony - several days after Harper was able to uncover all of her notes being edited by the doctors. In fact, the doctors had also already done his physical check, too, which made the lapse of time from their first conversations about the case feel like a different lifetime.
At least the first message was an apology: Sorry for delay.
Anthony grunted, but quickly said he has new information. Coder 001 tells him to go first. He very quietly tells him about the note alterations and that Harper is working with him. Coder 001 expresses that they will look further into the doctors, but that they will also need to look into Harper as well.
"Why?" Anthony asks, honestly a little offended.
Coder 001 responds: Cautionary.
It is essentially a non-issue, so Anthony lets it go. He asks for an update on the software. Coder 001 responds, not done, which is disappointing. The conversation is a yo-yo, though, because they immediately continued, I hacked police.
"Who are you?" the shock escapes in his words before he can stop himself.
Coder 001 literally responds "lol" as a loading bar appears at the top of Anthony's screen. As they both wait, their conversation stalls. There's not much that can be said, probably, not until the files are accessible by Anthony. After several minutes, it's just as he thought, with Coder 001 giving a breakdown of each of the new virtual file boxes.
They start by saying, brown boxes = catalogued evidence.
Then they continue, white boxes = lost evidence.
Anthony questions, "Lost?"
Coder 001 gives context: Off the record.
Anthony had used the same phrase with Harper. The white boxes had evidence that the public didn't know about. This means that there's going to be stuff that he didn't know about in his trial. He can feel his heart starting to speed up and tears threatening to blur his vision, but he can't fall victim to his emotions right now. He has to wait until Coder 001 is done talking to him.
And they do keep talking, I am still working.
A second line comes quickly after, Phone and location history.
"Who?" It seems reasonable to ask who Coder 001 is looking into, as it could help Anthony know what to look for in the evidence.
Coder 001 shuts Anthony down, Not yet.
Then changes topics, Blink left eye to active pencil.
The instructions continue, Blink right eye to put it away.
Anthony watches as Coder 001 wraps up the direction, Mark w/e stands out.
"Whatever stands out," he confirms.
With nothing else to really discuss, Coder 001 notes, I'll email Harper for copies.
Just as he trusts Harper, he has to trust Coder 001 on this matter too. They send a brief farewell message with no return timeline. Anthony minds that a bit less since he knows he's going to have a lot of stuff to work through between the six boxes of evidence files to review. These aren't going to get a once-over or skimmed pass through like the articles from before. Almost all of these documents will have information he didn't get to see firsthand and secrets that police kept from the public. He's going to be very focused and very busy for probably at least a week, if not two.
