"The audacity of this man to kidnap teenage girls and use the men's sperm in the girls so that when they become pregnant and the babies are born, he can turn them into vampires is just disgusting," Theo said, speaking in the living room with the FBI agents.

I walked downstairs and put on my shoes. "Where are you going, Ava?" Theo asked.

"To see Liv," I replied, my back to him. "Wait—" "No, I am going to see her to make sure she is okay. It's been three days, and all I received was a message from Andrea saying she is out of danger. That's not going to stop me from worrying about her. I need to see her," I said angrily, turning to face him.

"But wouldn't that anger Mr. Miller even more?" Sarah asked with concern. "I don't care what he thinks, I just want to see her and then I will leave." I said and ran out using my speed. I ran towards the hospital to see Liv. I know she is in the hospital because of me, but I just want to see her with my own eyes to make sure she is okay. Then I will leave if her father wishes.

Walking through the hospital door, I dashed towards the receptionist, a blonde woman in her mid-thirties. "Hi ma'am, can you tell me what room Olivia Miller is in? She was here because she was stabbed," I said hurriedly.

"And what is your relationship with her?" the receptionist asked.

"I am her wife now. Can you please tell me where she is?" I said, getting annoyed by the woman. "Go straight ahead, turn left, room 304," she replied, looking scared by my outburst. Saying a small thank you to the woman, I walked briskly to room 304, walking down the corridors. 301, 302, 303, Bingo.

Opening the door and walking in, I saw Mrs. Miller sitting on a sofa cutting apples, and Andrea sitting in a chair beside where Liv lay. She looked weak with all the machines attached to her. Her eyes were closed.

"Ava." Mrs Miller spoke, I shook my head.

"Please, Mrs. Miller, I just want to see her and then I will leave," I pleaded. She nodded and I walked towards Liv's bed. She lay there with her eyes closed, unaware of what was happening around her. Guilt started to set in. She was in this condition because of me. I grabbed her arm, leaned down, kissed her forehead, and whispered, "I am sorry." Tears welled up in my eyes, one slipping down and dropping onto her.

"She is sleeping right now," Andrea informed me. "She is doing okay, the doctor said she is out of danger. She will be home in a week." Andrea said, but all I could do was look at Liv. It had been three days of not seeing her, three days of not hearing her voice calling for me, holding me. I moved up and took hold of her hand in both of palms, closed my eyes, and focused on taking all of her pain so she wouldn't feel an ounce of it when she woke up. There was nothing else I could do. If only I had a chance to go back in time to stop it, I would, but it couldn't happen. This was the only way to help her.

"What are you doing?" Andrea questioned. "Taking all of her pain," I said, kissed our intertwined hands, and placed them back on the bed. I turned to Mrs. Miller.

"Thank you—" I stopped mid-sentence when Mr. Miller entered the room with Liam behind him. "What the hell is she doing here?" he screamed.

"I—I came to see Liv."

"No, you can't. Get the hell out of here," he yelled.

"I am sorry I didn't want to cause any trouble, but I just wanted to see Liv."

"I said get the hell—"

"Dad, why are you screaming?" Olivia suddenly stirred from her sleep. Her beautiful eyes opened and locked with mine. My heart did backflips. An automatic smile crept up on my face. Before I could say anything, I was being dragged out by Mr. Miller, away from Liv.
