Lexi sprung up, screaming again "Lexi, are you okay?" he said, "yeah," they said.

They tried to lay back down, but they were trembling.

Joshie tried to touch them, but they jumped "sorry, didn't mean to scare you, Lexi what happened?" he asked, "just a nightmare of a man coming to kill me cause I was careless about my dragon or fae, but I would never be that reckless I know there are hunters out there wanting to kill us, but I'm glad I have a family now that can protect me," they said.

They layed down, hugging Joshe "don't worry, Lexi, I won't let anything happen to you" he said, "did you guys find some more sheep at the market?" they asked. "yes we found some lambs" he said, "that's good?" they said, "get back to sleep will go play tomorrow in the hey I'll show you around the farm" he said, "but don't you have to go to school tomorrow?" they asked, "yes I do but will get up early and have fun" he said, "okay thanks joshie" they said.

They fell back asleep, waiting for the nightmares to go away.

"I told you to stay away, little dragonair look what happened: the dragon queen is dead, and no one can rule there are no more dragons you're the last one, Lexi don't worry I'll find you and kill you along with whoever is protecting you," he said.

They were shaken awake as the rooster crowed "Lexi, what happened?" he asked, "it came back, Josie, it's going to kill me," they said, "Lexi, I told you I would protect you no matter what," he said, "okay but how do I stop the nightmare," they asked,

He hugged them close "come on, let's go eat, then play," he said, "joshie" they said.

They got up and looked through their new clothes, finding a red and white striped long-sleeve shirt, black underwear, blue shorts, and black boots they walked with Joshie to the kitchen "mom, Lexi and I are going out to play," he said, "okay, be careful," she said.

Joshie and Lexi walked out of the house to the pen of sheep and cows "you won't eat them again," he asked, "of course not I don't want to ruin the, I mean, our family business what do momma and papa do besides run the farm," they asked, "they sell the wool and milk from the animals along with the eggs from the chickens and eat the meat or sell it from the pigs," he said. "you guys kill pigs," they asked, "only when their old and can't do anything like the cows," he said, "okay can we go play in the barn or something" they asked, "of course," he said.

Joshie and Lexi walked into the barn and saw all the horses playing in it "Joshie, go clean up you have school soon," he said, "yes, sir," Joshie said, "sorry, Lexi." He said, "It's okay i'll find some fun,' they said, "okay,' he said.

Joshie ran off as they sat in the house "Papa, can I feed the animals?" they asked, "sure, sweetie," he said,

He handed them a bucket, "go feed chickens and the pigs, then collect the eggs," he said, "okay, papa thank you,' they said.

They walked to the pig pin, put food in the feeder, and looked at the little piglets coming to eat first they reached for a hand, petting one and smiling "good piggies," they said.

They moved on to the chicken coop, where the chickens were rustling "please calm down; I won't eat you," they said.

They calmed down a bit as they collected the eggs "I'm sorry if I scared you chicks," they said.

They walked back to their dad "Papa, I fed the pigs and collected the eggs what do I do with them?" they asked, "bring them to your mother," he said, "okay," they said.

Lexi walked into the house and went to the kitchen "Momma, I got eggs from the chicks," they said.

She grabbed the basket "thank you, Lexi let's clean you up you've played outside for so long," she said, "I like helping with the farm," they said, "that's good now that you're here joshie and you can work together on the farm chores," she said.
