Sans wasn't a bad person. At least, he liked to think he wasn't. He was just the one who made all the hard decisions. The one everyone looked to when they saw no clear path forward.
So what made this decision any different? They gave up something so insignificant so Sans could get stronger and end this madness, but they couldn't understand that. Could they?
No matter how he explained it or how many times he explained it, they always begged, begged for mercy, begged to be spared.
But Sans couldn't afford mercy right now. He had a mission, he had to act. And so he did.
