UPON SEEING THE FAMILIAR FIGURE, the boys head into the cafe. no words spoken between them, afraid of what the others would say. they all had the same question in their minds, was that her?
the curiousness got the better of them to which they decided to follow the car. it may have seemed weird, they couldn't help but figure out if this was the person they once knew.
the mini van followed the black toyota ahead of them, the car heading into the direction of a certain park. one everyone was familiar with. all of the boys' anxiety increasing by the moment.
the black toyota was put into park by the mysterious driver, leaving matt to stop the car a decent bit away. the same familiar figure stepped out of the car, holding a notebook and coffee.
"should we go like look around?" nick asks his brothers, who turn around to look at him skeptically.
"i don't know really, what if we got this all wrong and we're just stalking some innocent person?" matt questions, sincerely feeling this could go wrong in so many ways.
"i'll go by myself so its not suspicious." nick says, stepping out of the car, closing the door behind him. chris and matt keep their eyes on him, wondering if this was all a mistake.
ELIANA WAS SITTING UNDER A TREE WITH HER SONGBOOK AND HER COFFEE, blissfully enjoying the light breeze of summer. she carried her songbook everywhere, ever since she discovered her love for singing.
while at her previous home, she only ever had her mom. she had taken online school courses and didn't have any friends while being there, so songwriting was a hobby she picked up.
eliana put both of her headphones in, blasting music through her ears. music was an escape for her. anytime she felt her life was in shambles- music. anytime she wanted to reminisce about good times- music. anytime she was happy- music.
she felt herself getting hot so after a quick look around, she took off her hoodie. folding it up neatly and setting it right beside her, she got back to work.
eliana had hoped one day she'd be able to get her feelings out in the world. she knew she wasn't the only person in the world suffering with something, but if she could help just one person get through it, it would be enough.
she didn't care about the fame or fortune that would come if she ever put her music out in the world. she never cared about being famous or having famous friends. it was the selfless, carefree, genuine girl living inside this hollow shell of paranoia, anxiety, and rage.
NICK HAD STARTED HIS WAY BACK TO THE CAR, unable to get what he saw out of his mind. he was dumbfounded and he knew he wouldn't be the only one. he was hesitant on telling his brothers, not wanting to cause more drama before it even started.
"so was it her?" chris looks at his brother, eagerly waiting for his reponse. he wasn't sure whether he wanted it to be 'yes' or 'no' but nonetheless, he wanted an answer.
"no." was the response that came from nick's mouth. he figured he would see what was going on before creating havoc between eliana and his brothers.
the boys made it home with time still left to spare before going to madi's. taking the opportunity to get his newfound information out to someone, nick separated himself in his room.

nick no i don't think she saw me we were at the cafe and we thought it was her so we followed her car to the park down the road. i went out to see without matt or chris and i wasn't sure at first but when she took off her hoodie, it was her

nick i don't know i didn't want to cause drama yet after we leave your house later, im gonna go over there i think
madi if that's what you think is best anyways you guys can come now

after texting with madi, nick let his brothers know it was time to go. he didn't want his brothers to be suspicious so he let madi know not to mention anything in front of them.
he really didn't want to be the one that destroys the smile on his brother's faces.
