Stars

The light of the stars flooded the night as if the gaseous balls were a liquid. They sculpted a mold that shown brightly across the red, white, and brown plaid blanket that they laid on. The ugly blanket had seen better days, but it always held through. Addie was flung across Aaron's chest, she felt his heartbeat. It was the silence that wrapped them and brought them across worlds unknown, worlds of love and hate and thought and idiocracy. Finally, Addie spoke, her voice slipping through the silence to create an even more beautiful sound in Aaron's ear.

"I'm so sorry that you brought me here and you did all this because I can't be with you."

"What? I don't get it?" Aaron was not expecting his carefully thought out plan to go this way.

"Well I-" she stuttered "-I can't tell you. I'm sorry."

"Addie," Aaron started, "I would die ten times, each more painful than the last, to be with you in my eleventh life."

"Aaron, I'm sorry." She said. And just like that, she was gone.

Just like that, the gaseous balls became gaseous balls and the silence became a cold sheet of ice that encased the world around him.

And that's when it happened. That little black dog came and encased Aaron in darkness. He got in the old Volkswagen and started driving to the Shock Cliff. He didn't think. He got to the cliff and looked down.

"See you in my eleventh life, Addie." Aaron whispered.
