This is set over four years after the events of A Court of Dreams and Promise.
In the events preceding this, Velaria (Rhysand's sister) escaped from Koschei's lake after four centuries to find her mate, Azriel. After a whole fiasco with Tamlin (read ACODAP to find out what happens), Velaria and Azriel finally get the happy ending they're promised.
