You've missed moments like these.
Moments where you get to stand backstage and get the best view of your girlfriend out on stage, watching as she lived her dream and performed for the excited fans in the crowd who adore her more than words can say.
It's a beautiful thing.
It always gives you a warm feeling in your heart when you peek out behind the curtain and watch her touch their hands and catch a glimpse of a few fans in the crowd that sing and dance along with her.
It's so sweet to see how much they love her and you know they know the love is very much mutual.
With the first show of Ava's tour tonight, starting in the city of love, you've found the smile on your face to be unfading.
Your hands shook with excitement, occasionally pulling out your phone but only to snap a few pictures or videos of her to cherish and show her later on.
You were just about to reach for it once more as 'so am I' finished.
You know the setlist by heart and although you find yourself loving each and every song, you have a special place in your heart for the next one.
So you wanted to capture a video or two like you do every time she performs it.
But she started to speak instead.
"I'm having the time of my life so far tonight and it's amazing knowing that all of you are, too." She spoke, smiling brightly when the fans cheered excitedly. "But I have to pause the show for a minute because there's something really important that I want to do and say."
She explained and turned around, waving to you.
"Come out here, my love,"
You were confused and you knew it was showing all over your face, judging by the chuckle she let out when you walked out on stage.
She came over to you and took your hand before leading you to the center of the stage.
Your heart was pounding.
Between the possibilities of what she could be doing and the thousands upon thousands of eyes on you; you felt nervous and you couldn't deny that.
"My love," she spoke softly, squeezing your hand encouragingly. "You're my whole world. I've been thinking of doing this for a long while now and what better time than in the city of love? A city I know both our hearts hold a special place for. Or, it definitely will tonight."
She chuckled nervously, swallowing thickly as she began to feel nervous.
You could feel her hand shaking in your own and you couldn't help but wonder what it was that she had up her sleeve.
"You're the best thing that has ever happened to me. I can't imagine my life without you. You're beautiful and kind and I'm so lucky to have you, to be able to call you mine. There's no one else I want to spend the rest of my life with." She sniffled as the tears welled up in her eyes.
She got down on one knee, pulling out the most beautiful ring you've ever seen.
"So, y/n, will you marry me?"
You were speechless, trying to find the words to say as the fans in the crowd went crazy.
But, somehow, in that special moment, it almost felt like it was only the two of you.
As you knelt on your knees and nodded your head, the bright smile on her face and the touch of her hand as she took ahold of yours in her soft one, almost made you forget there was anyone else around.
"Yes!" You spoke tearfully when you found your voice a long moment later. "A thousand times, yes!"
She slipped the ring on your finger and pulled you into her arms.
She shed a tear or two and you did the same as you soaked up the moment with your fiancée.
You'd never forget this moment for as long as you live and you knew the adventure that was the rest of your lives together was only just beginning.
