This was it. My senior year of high schoor. As I stepped into the double doors, a wave of anxiety rushed over me. It was a new beginning, a Chance to be a new me and recover from last year, because woah, I was a total npc.

I continue walking with my best friend yanecia, but everybody calls her yani for short, she's the well known one out of our lil group.

Yani : ouuu girl, i am so excited , bitch we seniors this yearr !!!

Me : I know , I just can't wait for it to be over chile.

Yani : mmcht, mia you already starting the year off wrong, we posed to be excited .

Me : I mean, i am but i'm just ready to be grown and explore life outside of this bum ass school

Yani : Yeah, i feel you on that bestie

As we were walking i couldn't help but notice people staring at us while we walked. I thought they were staring at yani, but instead all eyes were on me. I mean i could kinda understand, i did look a lil different, all i did was clear my skin and gain a lil weight, nothing too much.

BITCH LOOK !!! Yani screamed in my ear , "YOU WON'T BELIEVE WHO I SEE !"

Me : Girl who are you talking about ?

I turn around to see a lightskin boy with brown curly hair , tall , walking down the hall ... It was Luh Tyler . The "Luh Tyler" . When did he get here ? Why is he here ? I had so many questions but i obviously kept them to myself .

Me : Omg what is luh tyler doing here ???

Yani : Idk but thank god he is , he's fwineeeeee

I couldn't disagree with her . He was very attractive but everyone wanted him and i had other things to worry about instead of him, so i took yani's hands and started walking away to our classes.

3 hours later :

It was almost the end of the day and we were in our last class together before school got out. I couldn't go home even if i wanted too , i had cheer practice , and coach d don't play ! When the bell rung i walked out the classroom and waited for yani so we could go get our practice bags .

As we're walking to the parking lot to go home we see tyler coming from the locker room, him and his homeboy starts approaching us , i figured that they were tryna get with yani, but as i was walking away i heard someone say something :

He stopped speaking for a second . He seen two girls walking but one specifically caught his eye . She was nothing like the other girls he'd seen before .

Tyler : Ayo Jah ?

Jahreem: Yeah wassup fam ?

Tyler : Who them girls is walking right dea ?

Jahreem : Oh , that's just Yani and Mia, why wassup ?

Tyler : mhm , who the one on the right ?

Jah : That's mia she quiet , damn , now that i'm looking at her, she done got fine. Im finna go get that .

Jah said smirking and rubbing his hands together.

Tyler : Nah back off , i want her fam

Jah : Ight, i'll bet $10 you can't get ha number rn

Tyler walked over to mia and yani , calling out her name as he approached her .

"MIA" . She looked back confused , wondering why tyler out of all people was calling her

Mia continued walking to the car . She hopped in , speeding away

Tyler didnt like the fact that he kinda got turned down. But it was just something about this girl that caught his eye, she was different and he needed her.
