They snap at him like a rubber band
All because they have the upper hand.
Pulling guilt on him as he takes the stand,
With devilish grins and sly secrets he'll never understand.

Being fair they don't pretend,
His innocence they won't comprehend.
Slanderous innuendo they contend,
Making him fear what lies around the bend.

They throw libel and accusatory smirks
As his impending sentence lurks
Because what they know works
Are their spontaneously lying quirks.

Guilty is the verdict: down goes the hammer,
Leaving the wrongfully accused in a stammer.
His thoughts are a confused clamor,
As the innocent criminal is sentenced in a disgraceful manner.
