I know, some of you are probably like, wtf? Eratch in 2024?! Yeah I know, but for some reason, I still love this ship, even if it's really old now. I know, it's weird, but frankly, I don't care lmao
Match sighed as she rested her arms on the outdoor table, all alone. Her best friend Pencil couldn't make it, and Bubble still wanted nothing to do with her. Well, Match didn't blame her, there really was no excuse for how she treated her, so she supposed she deserved this. Now thinking about it, over the past few weeks, Match had been trying to improve her behavior, acting a lot more nicer, not talking behind people's backs or saying nasty stuff about them. Already, she had managed to score a few new friends. If Match could say how proud she was of herself, it would be pretty high, although she still felt guilty about the past. At the very least, she was a much better person, and many people were starting to show their respect towards her. Still, it sucked being all by yourself.
Match laid her head on the table, closing her eyes. Unsure of what to even do, her mind was a complete blank right now. As she breathed in, she thought she heard the sound of someone's footsteps in the grass behind her. She figured it was probably just someone walking by, nothing she needed to turn around for. She then jumped however, when she felt a pair of hands suddenly grasp her shoulders. Gasping, she shot up, immediately turning around to see whoever this weirdo was, but her fear soon turned to relief as she saw Eraser behind her, laughing. So, surprisingly enough, Eraser and Match had started a bond when she changed. Sure, they did maybe have some moments before, but they were nothing special, albeit not really positive either. But as they started talking more and more as the days went by, Match actually started to feel something towards Eraser.
It wasn't until two weeks later did she confess to him, and he gladly accepted, which surprised Match greatly. Getting to know him a lot more, Eraser actually was pretty sweet, he may seemed like a grumpy guy, but it was a whole different story around her. Plus, he was actually pretty funny too, some of his jokes that he cracks once in a while had made her giggle uncontrollably a few times. He also had a love for food, mainly pizza. What was interesting was that Eraser actually started working at a pizza place himself, he told her that it was actually a job he's always wanted to do.
Anyway, Match swatted at him, trying to be upset, but her tiny smile was already giving it away. "Oh my god, Eraser! Don't like, do that, jeez!", she scolded, shaking her head. Eraser's laughter died down, and she now noticed he was clutching a pizza box and some bag. "Sorry..sorry..your reactions are just so cute..", he said with a smirk. Match's face got red, playfully punching him in the shoulder. "Stooop..", she said, sitting back down. He sat next to her. "So, how's your day been going?", he asked, setting the pizza box on the table. "Eh, could be like, better. I've..mostly been like alone today..", Match muttered, her smile now disappearing, and looking down at the table. Eraser reached his hand out, placing it onto her hand. "Well, hey. I'm here now, so get that frown off your face!", he said as he placed his stuff down onto the table.
Match smiled a little, as she glanced down at their hands together. She soon looked up at Eraser, staring into his warm brown eyes. It was almost hypnotic, anytime she looked into those eyes, she could already feel a sense of comfort. Eraser soon opened the pizza box, revealing the one and only pizza. It was simple, cheese and pepperoni. Still looked really good though. "Quit looking at it like that, it's all for me.", Eraser joked. Match did a fake exaggerated gasp, punching his shoulder again. "You brought that just so I could like, watch you eat it? I hate you..", she joked with a smirk. Eraser covered his mouth with his hand, snickering. "Wow, that's not nice, Match, jeez.." "Oh yeah, I'm like, the mean one here. You on the other hand hogging all the food to yourself, cause you're like, some lazy fatass." Eraser raised his eyebrows, this time he playfully punched her shoulder. "Okay, now that was just mean, babe.", he said, but didn't really seem to take any offense to it. He slid the box over to Match, and she gladly took a slice.
"Sorry..", she suddenly apologized, looking down at the slice. "Hey, it's all good, babe. I know you were just kidding.", he reassured, wrapping his arm around her. Match smiled, as she watched Eraser take his slice out, and immediately started to shove it into his mouth. She laughed at the sight, before starting to eat her's too. Her mind traced back to the box, and now she was curious. "I couldn't but like, help notice that box you brought, what's in it?", she asked. "Don't worry about it, I'll show you after the pizza.", was all Eraser said. She looked at the box again, before shrugging and going back to her food. A few minutes later, after Eraser downed a few more slices, he finally put the box on the table. "Alright! Sooo...while I was on my way here, I stopped by a bakery..and I couldn't help but notice a certain something on display, sooo..", he said, opening the box, revealing a cake.
"Ooh!", Match gasped, clasping her hands together. "Babe! You shouldn't have!" She paused for a moment. "Is it like, chocolate?" Eraser smirked. "Course it's chocolate! C'mon, I know you!", he said. Match giggled as he cut a piece, and handed it to her (he brought paper plates). He then cut his own, before getting an idea. "Hey...you know how I've said pizza and cake are my favorites?", he asked. "Uh..yeah?", Match said with confusion. "What's the harm in combining both?", he said, now grabbing another slice of pizza, bringing it over to his plate. Match's face soon turned to a mix of disgust and disbelief. "OMG..Eraser..don't like, tell me.."
He soon plopped the cake onto the piece of pizza, smooshing it down a little, before picking it up with satisfaction. "Ugh..oh my god..", Match muttered, she oddly couldn't take her eyes off of this. "You're just a baby..you gotta spice things up every now and then!", Eraser joked, bringing it closer to his mouth. Taking a bite out, he took the time to adjust to the taste of both chocolate, frosting, and cheese. It was an odd combination for sure, but to him? It was heaven. Match gagged a little. "That's like, disgusting, Eraser..", she said, turning away. Eraser rolled his eyes, taking another bite. "Mmph, you don't know what you're missing, baby.."
