you woke up to your alarm, annoyed. you pressed the button labeled "stop" as you picked up your phone. you had just woken up, so you decided to scroll through your social media to help you wake up.

      you scrolled through instagram for around 30 minutes, when a familiar face appeared onto your screen. it was some guy and a girl... singing and dancing? they both were amazing; their voices matched with their choreography seemed to throw you in a trance, watching the video over and over. it took you a minute to realize who they were, but when you did realize, you were absolutely shocked. "VELVET AND VENEER??!?", you said, sitting up quickly onto your bed, still holding your phone. you never talked with the twins after your incident with them almost 8 years ago, since they practically ghosted you. you soon knew why when you did some "research" (research as in stalking every post on their accounts). to your shock, they had actually gotten extremely famous, and you had barely knew. you decided to text with your best friend, tianna, and tell her the news.

        you shut off your phone, thinking about what tianna had said previously. did you like them like that? did you like... veneer like that?

(VENEERS POV)

i was scrolling through tiktok, annoyed. crimp kept on yapping about my schedule in my ear, which i already knew. "cringe, get the fuck away from me. i know my schedule. now make me an iced coffee or im throwing you in the closet again". "y-yes veneer!", i watched her scurry away as i mouthed stupid hoe under my breath. tiktok was pretty dry, so i decided to check out instagram. the first post i saw was an edit of me and velvs at our latest concert. it had this audio to a song ive never heard, which sounded familiar. i checked where the audio had came from, which displayed a video with this girl singing it to a crowd. she had a flowy dress on while she was strumming her electric guitar, singing a hypnotizing melody. "damn...", i muttered, quickly clicking onto her page. "damn what, m-mr. veneer?", i heard crimp whisper while setting down my coffee. "holy shit, MIND YOUR FUCKING BUSINESS.", i said, snatching the iced glass.

after around 5 minutes of scrolling, i noticed velvet was walking into the kitchen, fast paced. she shoved her phone in my face, which played another video of the same girl. "what the hell?", i asked, confused. she loudly shushed me, and signaled for me to continue watching. the video ended, which led to velvet turning of her phone. "do you not recognize her? i can tell you've been looking at her socials, and i think you'll know who she really is once i show you this". velvet then went onto one of her most popular reels, which was an introduction of her music to a crowd. i heard the audio come out of velvets phone, as the girl introduced herself. by the sound of her voice, i automatically knew who she was. "HOLY SHIT", i yelled, "Y/N ?!?". "no, it's trump- DUHHH STUPID !", velvet snapped back at me. "in all seriousness though, yall would be REALLY cute together", velvet replied, smirking. knowing i had a big crush on her whenever we still would hang out, i began to blush. when she noticed the light pink flush over my cheeks and nose, she began to tease me about it. "you really DO like her ! veneeeerrrrrr im gonna set you two uppp", velvet said as she began to ran away, mischievously laughing. "GOD DAMNIT VELVET IF YOU DO ANYTHING EMBARRASING I WILL ACTUALLY BEAT YOU UP!", i screamed, watching her run up the stairs into her bedroom. "YOU CAN'T BECAUSE IM A GIRLLLLL", she yelled back, slamming her door. i knew that today would eventually be one HELL of a ride.
