Ryders dad as a kid

"Start explaining old man!" I yelled after we got to his office and I calmed down enough to shift back and put on some clothes. Key word enough, I was still royally pissed.

"Explaining what exactly? Son you damn near gave your mother a heart attack running in like that!" He said loudly with a glint in his eyes. His wolf's probably just mad at the idea of his mate having a heart attack and the fact that he feels challenged by me at the moment.

"Why are you fucking treating a member of your pack like shit! Do you do this a fucking lot!?" I yelled. I always thought my dad was the best alpha out there and I wanted to be just like him. Now all I see is how horrible he is.

"What are you talking about?" He asked but I knew he knew exactly what I was talking about because he refused to make eye contact for a while. My wolf was growling in my head ready to kill him for mistreating my mate and a member of this pack. My body shook and I unwillingly took a step forward before I took control away from my wolf. Nows not the time to kill.

"Why did you tell the pack to ignore Ty- I mean Skylars presence? Why was he being hurt and by whom?" I said lowly with a double edge to my voice since my wolf was at the surface. I still cant believe my mate lied to me about his name. I dared my father with my eyes to lie to me. He simply stayed seated with a surprised expression but he dropped his act of innocence when he saw I wasn't buying it.

"I have reasons and you should stay away from him." He stated calmly and leaned his chin on his open palm with his elbow placed on his desk. My fingers twitched forward at the mention of him not approving of Skylar. He was perfect in every way.

"What reasons?" I asked through clenched teeth. The urge to harm my own father intensifying by the second.

"Your mate is not like us and that's all I will say for now." He said and stood from his seat to leave the room but I growled and stood in his way. His eyes flashed from blue to black in an instant his wolf being angered now. He was taller than me by a few inches and he was more skilled than me but he was also older. I was definitely faster and had more stamina because of my age. Before he could do anything I lunged at him and tackled him to the floor. Using the tehnique he taught me to keep him down.

"Tell me everything now!" I growled at him feeling my canines extending. My dad just snarled and thrashed around trying to get out of my grasp but I had him pinned.

"Honey is everything alright in there, should I come in?" My mother suddenly asked threw the door with a concerned voice. I quickly pushed a hand to my dad's mouth to stop him from speaking and adjusted my position on top of him.

"No mom everything's fine we are just discussing some things about the alpha role." I tell her calmly or at least I try to make my voice sound calm and happy.

" Oh ok dear dinner will be ready in a hour or so." She calls out before walking away.  My mother is a great wolf but she gets to be a nervous wreck sometimes so I rather keep her out of this for now.

"Ok old man spill before I challenge you for the alpha title." I say menacingly and his eyes widen. He knows I would eventually beat him and I know too. The fight would stir the pack into a frenzy though and we both don't want that but I need to know why he treats Skylar the way he does. I lift my hand from his mouth and he sighs.

"Its a long story." He says and lays still beneath me.

"We have time so start talking." If he thinks I'll just leave him alone because it's a long story then he is very wrong. I stand up and sit on the couch and he sits across from me on a chair pulling his hands through his hair.

"It all happened long before you where born, back when I was still a child....
