25 years ago Stephanie was married to Diego and they both lived without a child. Stephanie was mocked and laughed at anywhere she went to. Infact, her mother inlaw called her names and threatened to throw her out of the house since she could not bare a grandchild for the family. Stephanie faced persecution all over the place. One day Stephanie went to the market to get foodstuff and the market women stated gossiping about her calling her a barren woman who has used all her children for rituals that was why she could not give birth again. Stephanie could not do anything but stand and cry then went home.
Stephanie has a friend that normally comes to see her. Miriam that was the name of Stephanie friend. Miriam one day told Stephanie that she knows where she could go to get a child but on hearing the name of the place Stephanie objected saying that she rather remain childless than going to the great forest of idumodu to get a child
It was believed that anyone who went to idumodu for a child, dies during child birth. Stephanie objected to go with Miriam saying she wait for the perfect time for she believed that the perfect time will come for her to get pregnant.
On a sunny monday, Stephanie was going to the market and saw 2 children fighting and decided to separate them but their mothers came and shouted at Stephanie asking her to leave their children before she use them for children as she has eating all the children in her womb. That same day Stephanie went home crying when her husband Diego walked in.
Diego asked his wife what the matter was and she narrated what happened at the market but Diego assured his wife not to pay attention to them as he is the one she is married to not them. Diego managed to cheer Stephanie up at the moment but those words were not enough to comfort her for long. At night Stephanie began thinking of the offer that her friend told her. Stephanie thought of it all night and decided to give it a try.
The next day Stephanie called her friend Miriam to come over and Miriam rushed to Stephanie house. It was a 2 hours drive from Miriam to Stephanie house and vice versa. Miriam arrived the house and entered. Miriam asked Stephanie have you considered of going to the great forest of idumodu to visit the great dragon, but Stephanie with fear replied yeah I'm ready. I have made up my mind to visit the great Dragon.
The next day Stephanie and Miriam set out on a journey to the great forest of idumodu in search of the great Dragon. On their way, Miriam was almost hit by the car but the driver was lucky enough to match the brakes on time. Stephanie in fear shouted JESUS... Thank God. The driver apologized and offered a help but the duo turned down the offer and insisted that he was not going their way. The driver made sure they were alright and left. Stephanie turned to Miriam asking Miriam, I think we should turn back this is a bad sign. Miriam replied by saying are you not tired of the insult, okay if you go back what will you tell your husband after lying to him that you are travelling for a friends wedding that you will spend 2 days. They finally arrived the forest or idumodu and stood there shivering in fear. A mighty wind blew the air and a thunderous echo was heard. What are you two doing here. Stephanie quickly replied nothing, and Miriam shuts her up and turns to the dragon. What does thou wants in return? Stephanie was given a rope to tie anytime she is making love with her husband and she will conceive. The duo both thanked the dragon and left. On their way they discussed how terrified they were seeing the great dragon of the great forest of idumodu and they headed home
9 months later Diego and his wife are seeing in the sitting room drinking and talking, they recount moment the passed through without a child now see my wife stomach in less than how many days we will have a child in this house that were the words of Diego. Push push push stephanie could not push her baby and started loosing strength and so the doctor decided to carry out a caesarian section to bring out her baby. Few hours later Miriam came in to visit her friend and they were both happy. How is my husband? I have not seen him since.
