The night after Greg had given the note he never got back to the teens, The both walked into his room "so the note to the girl didn't work out?" Rodrick asked as (Name) stood behind him, staying in the living room as her parents had left on a trip

Greg looked down "oh...sorry Greg...." (Name) apologies as Rodrick sighs looking at (Name) before back at Greg "all right, lets go little bro I'm taking you out...come on (Nick name) you to" He said

They walked downstairs into the entrance as Susan spoke up from the dining room where her and Frank were having dinner with her editors

"oh and here are my other men...and my eldest's lovely friend" She smiled "Greg, Rodrick, (Name) I'd like you to meet my editors Mr. Salz and Mrs. Kohan" Susan smiled

"Hello nice to meet you" Mrs. Kohan said as Mr. Salz said "Hey" with a polite smile. "Hey" Greg smiled as Rodrick gave a small wave "Hello"

"Hi" (Name) smiled softly "where are you off to?" Susan asked "um...just taking the little brother out for the evening...(Names) tagging along, He could use a good time" Rodrick nodded wrapping his arms around (Name) and Greg

"ok well If (Names) parents are alright with it be safe and home by 9" Susan said "yeah" Rodrick smiled "cya" He said as he took his jacket off the hat rack

He grabbed (Names) before putting it back grabbing one of his "yours is too thin...you'll freeze use mine" He said giving it to her as he put his on, it sounded more like an instruction then a question

"bye" Greg waved with a smile "cya" (Name) smiled "bye have fun" Mrs. Kohan said with a smile as Susan smiled saying her goodbyes.

Greg went out first followed by (Name) then Rodrick. Back in the house Mr. Salz's' smiled "now that is impressive my older boy wants nothing to do with his younger brothers....Much less when there's a girl involved" He explained

"well..you certainly practice what you preach, I think every mother in town should read you column" Mrs. Kohan complimented

The van pulled up infront of the 24 hr mart. The three ran into the shop heading towards the slushies machine before the hotdogs

Greg grabbed himself one as Rodrick grabbed one to pass it to (Name) "oh no thanks" She smiled shaking her head "I'll pay for it, its alright" Rodrick reassured

"no, I just..." She shrugged "don't give me that" Rodrick said his face dropping "what?" She asked in defense "If you don't want it I won't make you eat it but don't give me the 'It'll go straight to my thighs' garbage"

She avoided eye contact, Rodrick put the hotdog down looking towards her unimpressed "(Nick name)...." he said "what?" She asked "It will! I don't need it"

"who told you that?" Rodrick asked scrunching his nose up "No one needed to tell me" She shrugged "do you see anything wrong with how you look?" He asked

"because I don't and if you're eating better for yourself I'll respect that, but if its only so people like Tony will like you a little better its not worth it" Rodrick said as (Name) looked anywhere but him

"look...I know I'm a bit dense...and maybe not the most intelligent man you'll meet, But I know if a guy is so worried about your looks that he controls your diet.....then he doesn't love you he loves your body and that's not someone you want to waste your time on" He continued

"(Name) look at me..." He said softly as she looked back up "ok?" He said, she could see a hint of pity and guilt in his eyes as he looked at the girl

Although she didn't know why, he pitied that she had to feel like that. But was also overcome with guilt at not noticing she was off sooner, as well as hopping he had never said anything to make her feel like that
