Ok so this is a little different, its not a fanfic like my other story but my own actual idea so please please tell me what you think. I would also like to take this oppertunity to thank my really good friend SapphireFox for encouaging me to put it up !! enjoy Midnightpixie98

The Blue moon.

Chapter 1:

Lila’s POV:

Left then right then right again. I know this route like the back of my hand. Okay so just one more left and then I’ll-

Clug, clug, clug!

"Ahh, come on baby two more miles then we will be at gram and gramps!"

Clug, clug!

"Don't do this to me!"

Clug, clug, schreeeeeech!

"Great, now I have to get gramps to come get me, just great!"

I pull out my phone and call Gramps.

"Hello."

"Hey Gramps, its Lila."

"Oh, hey hon, you nearly here?"

"Yeah but my car has just ran out of gas, I'm only two miles out."

"You on the road by the forest?"

"Yeah."

"Ok stay put hon I'll be right there!"

"OK," I sigh and put away my phone, this is just the sort of thing that happens to me daily I have rotten luck. I swear I must be the entertainment for who or whatever is up there. Like they must decide at the end of the day what will be next in the "Lila Everwoods" soap opera.

Ugh I look around, yep trees, trees and you guessed it more trees all here to keep me company!! As I look around one tree in particular catches my attention. It has something engraved on it, I walk closer, now curious to see what it is.

'Luna Martha and Alpha Matthew forever' as I looked closer I noticed a date under it '14/8/1914' wow that is one old engraving but it's kind of sweet in a way Forest falls own love story! But what does Luna and Alpha mean, maybe it's some sort of thing they said back then, who knows? I reach out to touch the engraving and as soon as my fingers make contact with it, I know this is going to sound crazy but as soon as I touch it an image pops into my head of two gorgeous wolves; one as black as night, the other as white as snow, their eyes look almost human like the black wolf’s eyes are a beautiful forest green while the white wolf’s are a warm woody brown and then all of a sudden the wolves shake and now in the place of the wolves is two humans expect their eyes are the exact same .

The man with the forest green eyes is the most handsome man I have ever seen and the women... the women looks like... like me? What is going on? And then as fast as the image appeared it’s gone. What the hell was that about and most importantly who was that man. I feel some sort of weird connection to him like I have to find him or I'll never be complete. Wait what? I turn around sensing someone watching me, I turn around and its gramps. When he sees my facial expression the biggest smile I have ever seen spreads across his face.

"Lila hon, tell me what gift has the moon Godess given to you?"

"Gift? Moon Godess? What are you talking about?"

"Hon what did you see?"

"How did you know?"

"Amm.... I'll explain everything later when we get back, but please tell me what you saw?"

"Amm wolves a black one with forest green eyes and a white one with warm woody brown eyes.... then they were shaking and then there were two humans with the same eyes.... the man was the most Handsome man I have ever seen and the women looked like...like-"

"Like?"

"Like me."

His smile got bigger if that was even possible.

"It's happened."

"What's happened?"

"All will be explained in time."

"But-"

"We must get back, I have your car hooked up to the truck."

I sigh once gramps has made a decision there is no changing his mind, I get into the front of the truck and Gramps gets in beside me and starts the drive back to Oak Pine, their house, honestly I have no idea how they came up with that name but that's just them and that's why I love them. Every summer since I was little I have been sent here under the orders of my parents, not that I mind. When I was younger I used to look forward to coming here, thinking there was magic creatures to track down and new lands to discover but as I got older I grew out of that way of thinking and up to a half an hour ago I was still thinking like that but now after that whole thing with the tree, I’m not so sure.

We pull up in front of Oak Pine, as I get out I'm caught in a big bear hug by my brother Luke who's now 22. He moved here after he graduated to help Gram and Gramps out, or so he says. Soon after he arrived here he met Mia, they have been dating ever since. He says she is the one, when I asked how he knew that he said when he saw her it was like he saw the sun for the first time and that without her he would be incomplete.

He then said that someday soon I would understand. But for some reason I feel there is more behind his words like a big secret that he knows, Gram knows, Gramps knows that really everybody knows. I know I sound crazy or paranoid but it's just this vibe I get.

"Hey lil sis how have you been?"

"Fine."

"Really, 18’s not all it's cracked up to be?"

"Umm."

"Luke it happened,” Gramps suddenly said.

"When?"

"On the way here."

"Would someone please tell me what the hell is going on!" I said finally losing my patience.

"Lila you might want to sit down!" Luke said and his face had a serious look on it, which is a first for Luke anyway.

"Okaaay."

"Look there is no easy way to say this so I'm just going to come out with it. Lila I'm a werewolf and have been one since I turned 18 and found Mia."

Okay well I didn’t see that coming, did he say werewolf? No he is only pulling my tail, there is no such thing as werewolves. They’re fairy-tale stuff.

"Good one Luke. Real funny, now seriously what's going on?"

"I'm serious Lila, I'm the Beta of the pack and my best friend Alex is Alpha and-"

"Wait what did you say Alex was again?"

"Umm Alpha?" Alpha that's what was on the tree beside Luna, right?

"What does that mean?"

"He is like our leader, you know and his mate is called our Luna and they-"

"Ok what's a Luna and what's a mate?"

"A mate is like our soul mate, Mia is mine. You remember when you asked me how I knew she was the one, well when I looked into her eyes I felt this co-"

"Connection, like you would never be complete without her" I finished his sentence for him remembering the man from the image, remembering how I felt.

"Yeah. And Luna is just what we call our Alpha’s mate, she is like the female leader of the pack."

"Okay, so you are a werewolf and so is Mia. And you’re also a Beta?"

"Yeah, I'm like 2nd in command."

"Ok, amm who else is a were-werewolf"

"Amm Mia, Gram, Graps, mum, dad, pretty much all our cousins."

"Mum and dad are werewolves too. Why didn't they tell me?"

"Because they wanted to wait till you were 18 and were sure you had the gene."

"Wait what do you mean have the gene?"

"Lila you're a werewolf," and that's when the darkness overtook me.
