AFTER REACTIVATING AND POSTING ON INSTAGRAM, eliana turned on her favorite movie and laid in her bed. over the last few months, she had been working day and night, recording and rewriting her songs. she was happy to finally be able to share it with the world.
looking at all of her best friends comments, her heart fluttered at each individual comment. they had listened to a few of the songs but she wanted to save the rest of them as a surprise.
she wasn't sure where she stood exactly with chris but she was happy either way. they had been going on dates and relearning things about each other, it was just like how it was before she left.
eliana had written 'die for', 'you hold my love' and 'ocean eyes' in honor of him. she knew that he had an idea that they were about him and she hoped that he would enjoy them.
eliana's phone buzzed and when she picked it up, a picture of her and chris flashed across the screen.
"hey chris what's up?"
"hey ellie bug get dressed and meet me outside in 10 minutes."
"um why? what should i wear?"
"just dress casual and you'll see."
then chris hung up the phone. eliana got up and got dressed, deciding on a sweater, flared leggings and her air forces.

10 minutes later, eliana heard a knock at her front door. knowing it was chris, she rushed down the stairs to open the door.
"hey chris."
"hey ellie bug. ready to go?"
"where we going?" eliana was confused on what was going on.
"it's a surprise. it's close so we'll just walk there." eliana decided to follow along and walked out the door.
after a short walk, they made it to their destination.
"okay close your eyes." chris said to her.
"okay." eliana did as she was told and closed her eyes. she felt chris' hand on her back, guiding her to his surprise.
chris halted to a stop all of a sudden and said "okay you can open your eyes."
eliana opened her eyes and was amazed at the sight. there was a picnic blanket with a basket sitting on top and flowers surrounding it. her heart pumped out of her chest but she couldn't help but wonder what this was for. deciding to push the thoughts down, she followed chris to the blanket.
"so there was a reason i brought you here and i have a lot to say so please don't say anything until im done." eliana nodded at him, indicating for him to continue.
"eliana ever since we met when we were kids, i knew one day i wanted you to be mine. obviously at the time i didn't know that but when i was old enough to know what a 'crush' was, you were always that. there has no been no other girl for me. even when you left and we didn't talk, i never moved on. i didn't want to because i knew one day you were going to come back to me. since you've come back, i felt a mixture of feelings. i was angry, hurt, sad but also happy. when i saw your face, i literally couldn't believe my eyes. what i'm trying to say is, i never want to be apart from you again. eliana marie romero, will you be my girlfriend?" chris ranted and rambled but everything he felt was true.
eliana had tears forming in her eyes from chris' sweet sentiment, that the only thing she could do was jump into his lap. she was overwhelmed with happiness, she felt like she was on cloud nine.
"i never stopped loving you chris. of course i'll be your girlfriend."
both of them were so in love with each other, nothing else mattered to them, not even the time they spent apart.

i'm so sad this book is ending but i put so much work and thought into it so i hope you guys enjoy it
