Chapter 40

Luke's POV

"Congratulations on your recovery, Luke!"

"Thanks Mr. Morley. I owe you a lot."

I bid farewell to him and his team. I was really happy to leave the clinic and looked at my wallpaper. It's Laura.

"I'll see you soon, wifey."

Ano kayang ginagawa niya ngayon? It's already 7 PM here, 2 AM in Philippine Time. Maybe she's in deep sleep by now.

Kakatapos lang rin kahapon ng kontrata ko sa modeling agency na pinapasukan ko. I was just a part timer, I didn't expect na I would get a lot of projects. They asked me if I was going to extend my contract but obviously, I declined. I have more important things to do.

I called Laura as soon as I got home. She didn't answer. Siguro nga mahimbing ang tulog. Hindi ko na siya ginulo pa. In just a few weeks, magkikita na rin kami.

I just texted her, 'I love you' and 'I miss you' and a funny thought came into my mind. I also told her that I extended my contract. I wanna surprise her.

I still have committed photoshoots and events to attend to for the upcoming two weeks so I dedicated myself to it. Gustong gusto ko na kasing matapos ang lahat at makauwi sa Pilipinas para makasama si Laura.

I received texts from her that she missed me. Of course, that made me really happy but at the same time, pakiramdam ko nalulungkot na siya but I'm sure she would understand once magkita na ulit kami.

At last, nandito na ako sa airport. Naghihintay ng flight ko pauwi. Sobrang bilis ng tibok ng puso ko dahil sa excitement. Si Mom pa lang ang nakakaalam na pauwi na ako. I told her that I will surprise Laura.

Nung makasakay ako sa plane ay inenable ko ang airplane mode sa phone ko.

It was 9 AM in the Philippines when the plane landed. Nung makalabas ako sa airport ay agad kong binuksan ang phone ko and to my surprise I received a lot of notifications on my phone. It was because of the interview of a famous model, Rosie. May crush daw sa akin. Well, that's a given since I'm too good looking. She tried to flirt with me when we had a photoshoot together but she's a big no for me. I have a woman waiting for me and she's all that I've been thinking about for the past eight months. Wala ng dating ang ibang babae sa akin. Simula ng makilala ko si Laura, siya na lang ang maganda sa paningin ko. Weird pero iyon ang totoo. Siguro nga, ganun pag mahal na mahal mo ang isang tao.

Halos manlaki ang mga mata ko nung makita na may post si Laura sa IG niya. First time niyang mag-post ng mukha niya sa IG niya.

Napahawak ako sa puso ko. Sobrang bilis ng heartbeat ko dahil sa pictures niya.

Napakaganda niya. Bagay na bagay sa kanya ang ayos niya.

Napasimangot lang ako dahil maiksi ang skirt niya. Kitang-kita yung legs niya na Ako lang ang laging nakakakita noon.

Kailan pa siya natutong mag-suot ng ganito?

Nakakainis. Hindi man lang sinend sa akin. Pinost pa talaga.

Nakita kong may thousand likes at 57 comments pa.

Binasa ko ito at halos umusok ang ilong ko dahil puro lalaki ang nag-comment at karamihan ay ibang lahi pa.

"Ha! Ang lakas mo pala sa mga AFAM ha? At bakit naka-public yung IG mo Laura Marie Sebastino?!"

Muntik ko ng mabitawan ang phone ko nung mag-pop up ang pangalan ni Laura sa messenger.

'Nalimutan mo na yatang may girlfriend ka dito? Hmp!'

Napangiti ako dahil sa ka-cutean niya.
