This is a well known fairytale about a boy that never grows up, and the adventures he has in Neverland with Wendy, and her brothers.
Even though there are a lot of movie adaptations about it, what I found particularly beautiful about this novel, was the fact that the author is the way he expressed the feelings of wanting to grow up, wanting to care for others, just as Wendy does with the lost children.
And is also about the innocence of being a kid, and the way things feel when you're so young (and a bit naive).
My favorite part was definitely when Peter and Hook were fighting, and the latter falls and Peter without giving it much thought, he helps the pirate to stand up and gets his sword. At that very moment, when Hook takes advantage of it he strikes back, and Peter is left incredibly confused by the unfairness of it all.
It is not just about these great adventures involving pirates and mermaids, but also about the love of a mother and how they try to do their very best for their children.
What I loved the most, is that this book is about the wonderful things you can do for others once you grow up. I felt like crying as I reached the last chapter (and I would have cried if it weren't for the fact that i already did my make up and was ready to go), I felt bad for Peter, but also, I thought it was beautiful how the author let us know that he will never be truly alone in Neverland.
I believe this book can be read and enjoyed by most, by teenagers growing up, young adults trying to grasp adulthood; well I think it is for people that enjoy fairy tales, fantasies, cozy stories, innocence, sweetness and magic.
