Ep 3 Ghoulish Gourmet's Chapter 1




The Sun was barley out, the sky was grey, the clouds rolled in from the mountains with the promise of rain, though it seemed like a slim chance at the most, the weather was grey and icky overall, he perfect whether for a picnic is it not, well if your a ghoul. then it defiantly would be no doubt about that, and that's just what the Grimwood girls had in mind when they saw such weather. and they were going to make the best of it.

" Aaah, nothing like the feeling of cold wind blowing through you after so many hot sunny days in a row." Sibella said stretching in the breeze, " if only we had more weather like this often,

The ghoul girls had decided it would be the perfect day to go on a little picnic. so they picked a nice spot not to far from the school. it was on top a little hill under an old dead oak tree,
they had packed everything they needed, from an old blanket to sit on, to a basket full of delicious home made food each of the girls had helped prepare for the occasion. once they had it all ready, the girls and Matches were ready to head out, they of course had also invited their human friend wilbie along. thinking he'd love the spot they would be picnicking

" yeah, you said it Sibella, " Elsa said agreeing with her comment. she did as she unfolded the blanket for them to relax on.

" oh boy, I'm really itching for some eats ! " winnie said rubbing her paws together. she was about to open the basket and help herself. how ever sibella stopped her.

" now winnie. you just wait, let's set things up first alright ." she said sternly,

winnie crossed her arms " ah fine, " she rolled her eyes and sat down on the blanket,

matches then began snickering at her, which caught sibella's attention, " and just what do you have behind your back matches ? " she said placing her hands on her hips

matches stopped snickering as he sheeplishy revealed he had taken a couple sandwiches, to which Sibella confiscated.

" seriously you guys. can't you wait a least a few minutes, wiblie isn't even here yet . we should all enjoy this together "

" she's right, but boy I can't wait to get some of this wonderful food miss Grimwood helped prepared, " Phantasma giggle.

" well I'll say it's going to be a real treat, those moldy cheese and rotten ham sandwiches look tasty. " Tanis said as well,

" hey, you girls will love my crab apple pie I made for dessert. it's going to be the best I'll tell you. " Elsa said.

just as Sibella was done placing the plates and drinks down, which was there usual toadstool tea and some slim green soda, she then took out all the foo from the basket, which consisted of many things. form the sandwiches Tanis mentioned, to poison ivy salad.,, fungus dip for chips, and crab apple pie, for dessert,

" There, that' just about does it, " she said, looking satisfied,


" hey guys, I made it, " they all heard wilbie's voice say, the turned over to see him making his way up the hill, though they notice he was carrying a brown paper bag with him. how ever no one made mention of it as they were all excited to start eating,

" it's about time slow poke, we were just about to start with out you, " Winnie said with a smirk, and a wink,


wilbie chuckled to himself as he walked over, not knowing matches. who was mischievously rubbing the two of his paws together as he approached.. as wilbie was about to respond ,matches then stuck out his tail, causing wilbie to trip over it and roll onto the blanket,his paper bag landing on his back.., he dizzily shook his head as he looked over to seen the green small dragon snickering at him,

" Matches ! " Elsa said sternly at the dragon,

The others though just giggled. at the scene,

Matches just muttered to himself as he walked over to a corner on the blanket and nestle down on it,

" Eh, don't worry, he'll warm up to you sooner or later ," sibella said to Wilbie " until then just bare with his little pranks," she then said with a chuckle " but now we can dig in, I just finished setting things up " sibella informed, she then sat down . " help yourselves everyone, "

everyone joined in sitting down and began to make their plates, and were all enjoying the food, sibella had taken a batch of the poison ivy salad, while Winnie helped herself to large amounts of everything while Tanis kindly took smaller portions for herself, everyone else just dug into what they thought would please there appetite the first.

" Each one of us had made one of the food items for this picnic, " Tani said to wilbie.

" I made the moldy biscuits right over there, " she said pointing towards them in a smaller bread basket. " They are my specialty. "

" oh my, this is simply delectable " Sibella said taking another bite of her salad." It turned out better then I had thought. " she said.

phantasma was seen taking a drink of some of the toadstool tea that however just leaked right through her and onto the blanket, " mmmm this tea is always good, what you say winnie? "

" I say you got to have some of this fungus dip phanty. it goes well with the stale chips, " winnie said, as she then picked up rotten ham sandwich, and took a big bite out it if, " and this is even better, * smack * " she said while still chewing,

" here you go matches, try some of these " Tanis said walking over to him and placing some of her fungus biscuits she had proudly made on his plate in front of him. he greedily eyed them up as he licked them all up into his mouth with his tongue. were he happily chewed. smacking and mumbling in pleasure as he did,

Tanis smiled sweetly as he did just that, " I just knew you would love them ."

as everyone was enjoying the food, wilbie however didn't help himself to any of the food that was present,. he at first watched on as everyone ate, and but then instead he grabbed a hold of his brown paper bag and opened it, reaching inside he pulled out his own sandwich along with a big red apple, and a can of soda. he rubbed his hands together as he began to dig into his own little meal,

This how ever caught the attention of the other's. as they watched him eat his own brought meal.

they said nothing as he did but just exchanged glances then continued to eat their food.

a little after everyone had eaten all the food, they soon dug in to dessert, which was the crab apple pie, Elsa had made. she picked up the pie and proceed to cut slice for everyone,

" here you all go, ,made this in the lab, and added some of my special ingredients to it." She said placing a slice down on each of their plates, " " you may find some worms crawling around in there if your lucky. "


" alright, this is what I've been waiting for, " winnie said rubbing her paws together, as Elsa placed a slice down on her plate. she immediately took the whole thig in her paw and began to stuff it into her face." Mmmm so good I tell you! "

Phantasma received hers and proceeded to eat it as well, " how tasty indeed. so delightedly rotten " you really out did yourself with this, " she said taking another bite,


How ever when she got to wilbie he declined the piece .

" Oh no thanks. I'm uh, F-full now actually " he said with a bit if a stammer in his voice.

This caused Elsa to tilt her head a little, " oh, are you sure? " She asked

" Yeah wilbs, this stuff is amazing. the best pie I ever had." Winnie spoke up grinning showing her teeth covered with chunks of pie

wilbie stared at the slice on front of him and notice a worm crawling around in it, with who know' how many more were in there. " y-yeah I'm fine,I uh, had some already before I came " he said looking a little nervous. but quickly hid it,

everyone looked at one another but still didn't say anything. Even matches looked a little stunned by his refusal.

" Umh, well if you say so then, " she said walking back over to her spot and sitting back down, she along with the others and began to eat their pie, how ever the all seemed to be a little surprised Wilbie would decline such a wonderful treat, specially one his friend had worked so hard on.

Despite that they all continued on with their picnic, but none of the ghouls could shake off the feeling that something wasn't " right" about how their human friend was behaving.
