ZERO / Prologue.

LEE EUN-BYUL IS the epitome of a lost child. She does not know where home is, whether that be due to her own reckless self, or fault of her parents.
All she knows is the dull bite of the outcast life, where Lee Eun-byul is considered nothing more than a bad case of empty heart syndrome. She has no friends other than Han Gyeong-su, who she learns to lean on despite his less-than-lucky living situation.
( At least then, she has something that is her own to protect ). She knows no life other than the incessant tug of loose teeth and broken bones, cigarette-stained fingers and bleeding lips. Some days Eun-byul wishes that she could've amounted to something more than an ill rumor carried through the hallways of Hyosan High.
Other days, she's glad that there is only enough room for one person in her heart.
When the end of the world arrives on a blood-soaked platter at the front of the school gates, Lee Eun-byul has to choose between keeping her humanity or risking what's left of it to fend off flesh-hungry monsters from devouring the world.
Although, the situation brings her classmates far too close to discovering the fact that deep beneath her prickly exterior, Lee Eun-byul has a heart after all.
