"Alex!!" Her mom called.
*Alex runs down the stairs*
"Yes , Mom?" She responds.
"You're going to be late if you don't hurry up" Alex's mom says.
"Give me two minutes" Alex says as she rushes up the stairs to grab her bookbag and shoes.
*Alex comes back down the stairs*
"Oh, Honey... I almost forgot!!" Mom tells Alex
"Forgot what mom?" Alex asked confused
"Happy Birthday!! You are growing up so fast." She says.
"Thank you so much mom" Alex says as she hugs her mom. -- " now let's go before I'm late and get a detention on my birthday mom "

*at home birthday dinner*
"Alex, Me and your father got you a present" Alex's mom tells Alex
"Oh Mom- Dad you didn't have too..." Alex says while blushing.
"We did. You are our little princess" Alex's dad says
"So what is it? " Alex says eagerly.
*Alex's dad hands her a big wrapped rectangle box *
"Be careful honey its fragile." Alex's dad says.
*Alex tears off the wrapping paper to see a laptop box*
"No way!!! My own laptop?" Alex asks surprisingly
"You've gotten to an age where you need your own privacy" Alex's dad tells her
"But they're are some rules" alexs mom adds on..
"I will do anything " Alex says excitedly.
" rule #1- no talking to strangers.
Rule #2- no inappropriate sites.
And
Rule #3- I have to know about any social media you make.. " Alex's father says
"I'm pretty sure all I want is a Facebook. That's what all the kids at school use" Alex says still with her heart beating about to jump out of her chest.
