There are days when meeting a stranger can totally make your day, you know? Today was one of those days for me.
I recently moved to a new place, and things have been a little tough financially. I've been working hard, but my job doesn't pay much. So, when my friend stopped by my workplace during lunch hour, it was a welcome break. We chatted for a bit, and I felt my spirits lifting.
But then, things took a turn. I realized I had remembered my schedule all wrong, and I needed to catch the train. I don't drive, so my friend offered me a ride. But her driving skills were...let's just say, a little rusty. We almost crashed four times! My heart was pounding in my chest, and I was gripping the edge of my seat for dear life. I haven't driven in four years, and even then, I only lasted three weeks. But somehow, my survival instincts kicked in, and we made it to the train station in one piece.
I was still shaking from the experience when I met this stranger at the train station. She had this calming presence about her, and we struck up a conversation. It was just what I needed to calm down and remember that life is precious.
So, here I am, feeling grateful to be alive and ready to take on whatever tomorrow brings. Who knows what adventures await me? But, one thing's for sure - I won't be forgetting this day anytime soon.
I am gonna kick tomorrow's butt lol
