Infatuation and Battle

"It transforms you feeble"

Sarah's p.o.v

I'm heading to the training area now to enhance our powers. I was worried about Ziphany because she has done everything she can to become one of the top five. She really wants to surpass me. Sometimes Ziphany and I don't get along, but at other times, we do.

Nalilito ako dahil si Eliza, ang kapatid ko, ay hindi interesado sa pakikipaglaban, ngunit nakapunta siya sa puno at binigyan ng kapangyarihan. Nais lang naman niyang mag mahal magpakailanman.

She was only compelled to train because the king and queen ordered it. Ziphany and I are the only siblings interested in combat. We inherited our father's courage and bravery. Prince Oliver is my older brother and the current crown prince.

As I walked through the corridor, I saw Eliza at a hole in the wall; she looked like she was about to escape again, so I followed her. Even though she was wearing blue robes and her hood covered her head, I could still recognize her. She does this every day.

She headed out of the gate and into the forest, so I followed to see where she was going. I hid behind a large tree because she seemed to sense someone trailing her.

The path we were walking through felt familiar, so I didn't wonder where she was headed. She was going to meet her beloved.

That man has poisoned my sister's mind, which is why she's not interested in fighting; he doesn't care about it either.

An illusion was the first thought that crossed my mind; I was now caught in Eliza's illusion. I could only hear voices and couldn't see her. "Eliza, get me out of your illusion!" I called out. "Don't follow me," she replied.

"Didn't the king and queen warn you not to meet that man?" I reminded her.
She stopped the illusion, and I found myself still in the corridor. I looked for Eliza, and she was at the hole in the gate, grinning. This girl is really crazy, I thought.

She teleported toward me. "I know what your mind is saying," she said, her eyes lighting up. "My magic is energy, and my powers are not only teleportation; I also have abilities of illusion and speed. I can read the thoughts of any creature," she told me, and the light faded from her eyes.

The bell rang, signaling the start of the battle. Ziphany joined me because we had made a deal: if she didn't come, I would report her.

When we arrived at the training area, I still couldn't see Ziphany. This was the tenth time she had skipped training. She hadn't even left her room.

There was a girl walking toward me; she moved modestly like a true princess, but she was brave enough to fight.

"Where is Ziphany?" Princess Cassandra asked me. "Maybe she's not feeling well; ever since that day, she seems different," I replied, noticing the look of concern on her face. Princess Cassandra is Ziphany's close cousin.

She is the one Ziphany always turns to when we have a disagreement. Princess Cassandra is the daughter of Queen Carmella, the Queen of the East Palace, and she has a brother named Prince Matt.
