[Hey guys! This one shot is for my BFF Sam! Also, goes by Wizard of Literature. Go check out his stuff, too because it is downright beautiful. In this story, Sam = Jason. And it might have slight triggers. Maybe. I'm not really sure what triggers are... Kk. On with the story! Sorry if it's absolute shit...]
Words didn't really matter to Jason.
Stupid.
They were just words, after all.
Useless.
Just words.
Idiot. Waste of space.
Freak.
But Jason couldn't just let the words go. Because those words did hurt him. They cut him deeper than his blade ever did.
Invisible.
He was invisible. The last one born in a family of six kids. The last one picked for games at P.E. The last one to be noticed by anyone. He was constantly being forgotten, constantly being left behind, constantly feeling invisible. Even to himself, Jason was invisible. The one time he ever felt even kind of significant was when his father was yelling or hitting him. Jason would go to school with bruises on his face and arms but of course no one would notice or at least pretended to care. Because Jason was invisible. Jason didn't have any friends. He didn't really know how to make friends. No one had ever really taught him. So he was cast aside as a freak and a weirdo. The only thing that kept Jason even kind of going was that if he got good grades, he'd get out away from his family and the stupid town he lived in. And the blade of his razor. The sting of the slices were always his favorite outlet.

"Hey, stupid," one of Jason's older brothers said as he walked passed him.
"What do you want, Cody?" Jason mumbled from his homework. "I'm busy."
"I have an essay that's due tomorrow."
"And that's my problem?"
"Do it or I'll tell Dad."
Jason sighed and took her brother's paper as he began to write it for him. Jason hated his siblings. He hated his father and his mother. He hated everything in his life. He pushed his hair out of his face and clicked over to Youtube to listen to some music.
"What's this?" He wondered aloud as he clicked on the video.
A video of the beach filled his computer screen and a boy with friendly brown eyes and a smile appeared on the screen. Beautiful music filled his headphones and Jason felt something. Felt something that he hadn't felt in years. He felt happy. Like he was supposed to be there, listening to this band. One Direction, they were called. And Jason knew that this... Was just the beginning of a beautiful dedication.
Jason stayed up all night listening to the music and watching videos of the band. Slowly beginning to fall in love with them. Found a site, Tumblr, it was called and he met millions of other fans. Directioners, they called themselves. They treated Jason like he was supposed to be there. Like he has some significance in this world. But then morning came.
His alarm clock rang loudly and he was reminded that he hadn't written his brother's paper. Terror filled him and he began to type as quickly as he could on the subject of the essay. He neared the end as Cody walked into his room.
"Where's my paper, idiot?" He asked with a smack to Jason's head.
"Just let me print it out," Jason mumbled tiredly and hit the print button.
