Lauren's POV

I can't believe we almost kissed.

My mind was buzzing that night, I couldn't belive I almost kissed my best friend.

I probably got 2 hours of sleep that night. I was reblogging a bunch of stupid love quotes on tumblr and listening to The 1975 the whole night.

I unplugged my headphones and got up to use the bathroom. The hotel clock read 3:30 am. The floor was cold beneath my feet and chills ran up my spine and I got goosebumps everywhere. Looking in the mirror I cringed at the sight. My eyes had dark circles underneath and were droopy from sleep deprivation. I just couldn't  sleep with her on my mind. It was driving me crazy.

My thoughts were interrupted by a loud clap of thunder from outside. I jumped and then immediately thought of camila.

She hates thunder.

I walked out of the room and saw her sat up on the bed with a terrified expression on her face. I immediately rushed over to try and calm her down.

Pulling her into my arms, I whispered gently "Camz shh shh It's just thunder. I got you okay?"

I wrapped my arms around her tighter, hoping to give her some sense of security.

Rain was crashing against the hotel windows, the thunder getting louder and louder by the minute. I was getting scared myself, but I needed to be strong for camila. My arms became her second home whenever things would get scary or bad, I just wanted her to know how much I cared about her and how much I needed her as well.

After a while, the rain subsided, only light taps were heard against the window and I could feel her body relaxing. She glanced up to me and I met her gaze. Her caramel orbs piercing through mine. It was happening again, and this time I don't think I would be able to stop. Her eyes were on my lips and my heart was beating so fast. I leaned in and I could feel her hot, uneasy breath on my lips.

My lips met hers in a soft kiss. I was taken aback when she tilted her head making the kiss more deep than I intended. Her lips were soft and warm I just couldn't get enough. I disconnected our lips for a brief moment just to have camila connect them again. I brought one hand to her cheek, pulling her in closer. A moan finally escaped her lips. My hand traveled up her shirt and I scratched the bare skin of her stomach. She clenched the hem of my shirt and gently pulled away pressing her forehead against mine, our noses touching.

"Wow...I-" was all I could manage between heavy breaths. Her hand found mine and she interlaced our fingers, my thumb tracing circles over hers.

She placed her head on my chest and we both fell into a deep sleep.
