Gabriel was guided by some angel guards to the foot of some white marble stairs. An angel told him to kneel, he did. A tall figure rose from the top and descended the stairs, slowly getting closer to the bottom.
Next to him, Gabriel saw the girl who was attacked by the demon sitting half way up the stairs. She looked so elegant in her silk white dress and golden hair. God stood before him, in a toga. He didn't know why but the sight of a deity in nothing but a bath robe made him respect even more.
"You, my son, saved my daughter from a demon." he said this directly to Gabriel. "The breach in our defences has been resolved." he said to everyone else, God's voice was calm but firm, delivering the perfect degree of authority. The room was a replica of the sky and had paintings of purity everywhere you looked and angel guards and civilians looked on with amusement and respect. "Therefore as recognition of your bravery, I give you my daughter, Lilly's hand in marriage". The crowd applauded and Lilly beamed as her father took her hand and guided her down the stairs.
"But first" God's voiced silenced the room, "he has to prove himself a worthy man for a beautiful woman. My dear Lilly, chose his task and let him prove himself to you."
Lilly approached Gabriel and looked him in the eyes as her words left her mouth. "Find the stone of fire and power".
