"You're a mutant! You'll never be a normal person!" My dad punches me in the gut this time. I don't try to stop the tears as I run from the house. I've always been the mutant child.
Having Alexandria's genesis isn't exactly all easy. Sure I don't have periods and all that jazz but....well it's my dad. I feel my bare feet hit the concrete with every step I take and finally I feel grass. "Just a little longer"my inner voice says in an almost comforting way.
I see my one true home as I run.
I see my tree.
I climb my tree as fast as I can and the sit in my usual seat. I bury my head in hands and soon sobs escape me. " pull yourself together Angelina, you can't let your dad now this is effecting you!" My inner voice screams at me.
It's right. I'm just showing that my dad is getting to me. I bring my head up from my knees and wipe away all my tears.
"You'll never be alone, when you miss me close your eyes, I may be far but never gone" I quietly sing. It's never be alone by Shawn mendes and it makes me feel like I'm not some freak or anything at all. It makes me feel like I will always have someone here for me.
I sniffle. It's becoming colder now that it's almost fall, aand crying doesn't help that case. Great, I'm stuck out here in shorts and a tank top because I'm not going back to my house. I never do after a beating. A shiver runs through my body and thats when I realize it's pouring down. I feel my lips start to tremble, and quickly huddle into a ball. It seems as though it has been hours before sleep finally over takes me........
