First Sight

Fault lies with you.


It's always the same with this school. Every Monday, a boring assembly is hosted in a hot and stuffy room, barely capable of housing all 500 student in the school. To make matters worse, Alexis was forced to stand next to her homeroom teacher, Mr. Albert, who she and her friends swore was a pedophile.

Nothing important happened in the school. Fights here and there, kids having sex in the bathroom maybe, but other than that, the school was quiet and normal. 

"As you all know, The school has been under the careful watch of our administration for quite some time.." The Principal said as Alexis snapped back to reality. "But now I think it's time for us to have some STUDENT representatives. So without further ado, I'd like to introduce to you...THE STUDENT COUNCIL!" 

The Principal, Mr. Evans, had his arms raised as if he was going to hug someone. Nobody in the room clapped except for the teachers, who were desperately trying to hype them up for the Student Council's appearance. 

The curtain behind Mr. Evans was pulled open, revealing a line of students who were going to make up the Student Body. Alexis groaned as she saw her friend, Ella, in the line. "Why the heck would you do that..?" Alexis muttered under her breath, annoyed that her friend would join such a pathetic organization that most likely won't change anything or affect the student's opinions of the school whatsoever. Especially hers.

She kept looking up at Ella, hoping the girl would catch a glance of her and explain herself. But Ella was deep in a trance, staring at the front of the line as if Christ himself was there. Alexis' eyes flickered over to the front, and her mouth dropped.

Aphrodite Amathousia. Everyone knew her. Everyone desperately wanted to be her. She was smart, kind, and charismatic..but what people loved most about her was the fact that she was rich. Although the school was a piece of shit, they could easily count on her to go above and beyond for school events to make them look better. 

There she was, in all her glory, at the front of the line. Next to her was her little brother, Hermes Amathousia. It was no surprise that both of them got into the Student Council considering the status they have. Alexis couldn't help but stare at her..Her long, blonde hair flowing down her sides, her pearly white teeth revealed in her smile, her pure-looking gaze overlooking the crowd of students roaring their call of approval. She was perfect. It's no surprise she was named Aphrodite, considering her immense beauty.

Alexis glances up at Mr. Albert to see if he noticed her love-struck expression, and was shocked to see that he too was in a shocked state. His eyes were all on Aphrodite, which made Alexis sick to her stomach. She stomped on Mr. Albert's foot, hard, and he yells out in pain, ruining the glorious moment for the members of the student council. "Sorry." Alexis says, sarcastically, which earns her a glare from Mr. Albert. She's definitely gonna get a failing grade in his english class later, but that didn't matter. Alexis could see that she definitely wanted Aphrodite. 


The thing that no one realized was that this had happened before. Before Alexis and the other students arrived, Aphrodite was apart of the previous student council. Why they disbanded and suddenly came back was a mystery to the teachers, but all will be unveiled in this Love Story.
