Chapter Two.

Ch. 2

"See you kids tomorrow!" Ms. Hanji waved at them as they exited the classroom. "Good luck, Gwenn!" Gwenn waved Ms. Hanji goodbye and exited the classroom along with Jean and Marco. "How are you feeling?" Marco asked. "It was much better than I expected! While walking here I was super nervous!" Gwenn sighed with relief.

"I'm just glad to have met you guys." "Well, maybe we could get to know each other be-" Jean was cut off by Eren, who pushed himself in between. "Gwenn! Are you ok? Want me to help you with your next class?" He smiled down at her and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Oi! I was TALKING with her! Hasn't your mother taught you manners, Jaeger?" Jean pushed him to the side. "Trying to act tough in front of Gwenn, horseface?" Eren smirked. "I would gladly punch your fucking face, but I don't want my new friend getting a bad image of me." Eren grabbed Gwenn's arm and pulled her away. "Eren! Why-" She looked back at Jean and Marco. They had already started walking towards their next class.

Eren stopped at the other end of the hallway. "Sorry about that... I just don't want horseface to bother you. You're my friend now and friends look after each other, right?" Eren looked at her sheepishly and Gwenn couldn't help but giggle. "You guys should be nicer to each other... But I forgive you. I'm glad we're friends, Eren." She slapped his arm lightly. "Uh, um, how about I help you get to your next class?" He quickly changed the subject. "I have..." Gwenn took her schedule out of her pocket and scanned it. "Home Ec? With... Miss Ral?" She looked up at him. Eren smiled and held her arm once more. "I will lead you there. You know why? Because I have that class too!!" He happily led her to the Home Ec room.

They both chatted about Ms. Hanji's lesson as they walked to their class. When they finally got there, Gwenn walked up to the teacher and introduced herself. "What a lovely surprise! A new student! I'm Miss Petra Ral, it's very nice to meet you!" Miss Ral gave her a very welcoming greeting. She had to do the same thing as her last class, introduce herself and find a seat, or in this case, a group.

"She can be in our group, Miss. We only have 3 people." Eren raised his hand as he spoke. He was standing next to a stove with Armin and Mikasa. "That's a good idea. Go ahead dear! You're very pretty by the way!" Miss Ral sent Gwenn off to Eren's group. "Hi again guys. Thanks for helping me out, Eren." Gwenn tied her hair and stood next to them.

The class went by surprisingly fast. They were told to look for a certain recipe in a cook book and prepare it 10 minutes before class ended. Mikasa seemed to do most of the work, to everyone else's relief. According to Eren, she was an excellent cook. And Armin stated she was good at everything. Each group presented their dishes and Miss Ral took a bite out of all of them to see who's was best. "After trying all of them... I would like to congratulate Eren, Mikasa, Armin, and our new student, Gwenn. I must say they worked the best together and ended up having the tastiest dish! Good job! 100 points!"

Eren and Gwenn stayed back once again to review Gwenn's schedule. "History huh?" Eren started leading her to the next class, which coincidentally they also had together. "Gwenn, can I see your schedule?" She handed him the paper and he quickly scanned it. His face turned to a bright smile. "I can't believe it! We have the same classes! All of them!" Gwenn felt a weight lift off her shoulders. She had someone to help her the whole day. "Don't worry. As long as you stick with me I'll help you out and show you around." Said Eren.

After their fourth class, Eren and Gwenn walked towards the cafeteria to meet up with the others. Armin and Mikasa didn't have 3rd or 4th period with them. "We'll get our food and then we look for them, okay?" Eren led her towards the food lines and they waited for their food. "Is it okay for me to sit with your friends? I don't want to make it awkward..." Gwenn looked down, she was grateful for his help but she didn't want to burden him more. "What? Of course it's fine! Don't wo-" Eren was cut off by someone behind them.

"Sup shorty?" Jean leaned on Gwenn's head. "That's not nice!" Gwenn moved over so Jean could slip off. "I'm just playing around. Sheesh." Jean put his hands in his pocket. "You better chill out, horseface. I don't want you bothering my friends. I have enough with the creepy way you stare at my sister." Eren pushed him back. "W-what?! Pfft. As if." Jean looked away but he was visibly blushing. "Calm down you two. Gwenn's gonna feel weird if you two start fighting again." Marco was the voice of reason and both guys calmed down. "Anyways, how tall are you?" Jean looked down at Gwenn who just turned around, her arms crossed across her chest. "Well, if you must know I'm 5'1." She hated being asked about her height. "Aww~ aren't you such a-" Jean stopped once he saw the look on her face. If looks could kill, he would've been long gone. "You're really pushing it. If you keep bothering her I will surely punch that horseface of yours." Eren glared at Jean who just scoffed and looked away.

Marco made sure to keep Jean in line as they waited for the food. Eren made sure Gwenn got what she wanted and then got his own lunch. "I'll take you to our table now that we have the food. And as I said earlier, don't worry, okay? I'm sure they'll want to be your friends too." Eren smiled broadly at her and she couldn't help but feel better. "Thank you, Eren... I owe you a lot." She returned the smile and walked next to him, hoping what he said was true.
