Blake's pov:
I take in a deep breath as I finally step out of the large prison gates, a bag with my belongings in my hand and a huge grin on my face.
The fresh air that hits my face has never felt so good. The feeling of freedom finally embraces me as I walk towards a black SUV that is parked around 50 meters from the gate.
"Miss Duarte, I'm glad to see you." Jay says as he opens my car door.
I flash him a smile before responding "I'm glad to see you too Jay." He returns the smile I have him as I enter the car, sitting in the back seat.
Jay closes the door before walking to the other side of the car and getting in the drivers side. "Where to ma'am?" He asks fastening his seat belt and starting the car.
"To Oasis Jay, I have to make sure you haven't burned my business down." I jokingly say making him chuckle.
"We've been taking good care of it ma'am." He nods as we drive away from the place I called home for 1 year.
-------
"Look who finally decided to show up." My older brother Leon, says as I walk through the doors of Oasis, my bar."Wow, this place hasn't burned down." I chuckle as my big brother envelopes me in a huge bear hug.
"Te extrañé." He whispers as we embrace. "I missed you."
"Yo también te extrañé." I say, hugging him even tighter. "I missed you too."
"Hey I want some love as well." Leon and I seperate as I see our cousin Diego approaching us. "Missed you cus."
"I missed you too." I smile hugging him. "Thanks for taking care of the place."
"Of course, not like I had much choice." He says the last bit under his breath making me roll my eyes.
"So how was prison?" Leon asks, as we take a seat at the bar.
"It was whatever." I sigh. "Can I get a drink?" I ask the bartender in front if mr and she smiles nodding her head.
"What you want boss?" She asks.
"Whiskey on ice." I smile.
"Coming right up." She says, walking over to the drinks on the other side of the bar.
"Blake it's midday and you're already drinking." Leon chuckles, as I show him the middle finger.
"I just spent a year in that hell, I haven't had a drink in a while. Lemme live." I say as the bartender passes me the whiskey. "Thanks beautiful."
"Anything for you boss." She smirks, flashing me a wink.
The rest of the day goes by pretty quickly. Most of it I spent catching up with my friends and family. It's been a while since I've seen them and I missed them very much.
Currently, it's around midnight and I'm in my office getting some of the paperwork done for the bar.
A knock on the door interrupts my thoughts. I instinctively reach for the gun which rests under my table. My hand tightly closes around the gun as I say "Come in!"
A relaxed sigh leaves me as I see one of my bodyguards Peter open the door.
"Boss we got a problem up here." He says motioning behind him.
"What's the problem?" I ask, already frustrated.
"We have D'Angelo's in the house." He responds.
"Oh really?" I scoff, my veins already filling with anger. "I'll be right there."
He nods leaving my office. I sigh deeply before taking the gun and putting it in my waistband. After that I throw on a blazer so it covers the gun.
"Here we fucking go." I mumble to myself as I walk up the stairs.
The loud music and chatter fills my ears. When I reach the top of the stairs Peter makes eye contact with me and nods towards the direction of the bar.
I walk towards the bar, already angry that there is D'Angelo's in the bar. Everyone knows they are strictly forbidden from coming in here.
I scan the bar and my eyes land on the only D'Angelo sitting there. Valentina D'Angelo.
I scan her outfit quickly. She's wearing a red dress that barely reaches halfway down her thighs, her hair is let down on her shoulders and she's wearing black heels that compliment her black blazer which loosely hangs from her shoulders.
Her green eyes meet mine and she smirks when she sees my frustrated expression.
"You can't be here." I grit through my teeth as I walk closer to the brunette.
"Aww, does my presence bother you Miss Duarte?" She asks, with a fake pout on her face.
"Your daddy know you're here?" I smirk seeing her facial expressions harden. "He would be really dissapointed if he heard his lovely daughter is in his enemies bar. Wouldn't he amor?" My head tilts to the side slightly as I speak, my eyes locked with hers the whole time.
"Don't call me that." She sternly says, referring to the nickname I used. Her frustration only makes me smirk grow. "And at least my dad is around, unlike yours." She spits, making me clench my jaw.
"Listen, Valentina," I say leaning in closer and placing one of my hands on the bar and the other one on the back of her stool. Our faces are centimetres apart as I lean to whisper in her ear. "Get the fuck out of my bar right now, because if I ask you twice your daddy won't be able to save you."
"Blake a little piece of advice." She pauses as I pull away from her. "If you want something all you gotta do is ask nicely." She chuckles standing up and whispering in my ear. "You know you get anything you want when you're a good girl."
"Get the fuck out!" I say more sternly now, acting as if I didn't hear her teasing words.
"Chill," she chuckles. "I just came to tell you we want the money tomorrow, if we don't get it well, " she pauses, making eye contact with me. "We both know it can get really ugly really fast. So get the money and there won't be any problems."
She pats my shoulder, before grabbing her hand bag and leaving the bar with a smirk on her face, leaving no space for me to answer to her demands.
"Fucking bitch." I mutter under my breath.
