MINE ALONE

Chapter Eight

Daniel arrived at the gym as the coach was shouting orders for everyone to form a circle and do thirty minutes of warm up. Daniel joined in and after two minutes he walked over to the coach holding his head and faked breathing to make his act seem more truthful.

"Coach," he said when he walked over to the burly man. The man seemed to be in his thirties with muscles straining his t-shirt. His face wore an angry expression, etched by years of training. He had black hair, now tinged with gray from stress. He had brown eyes, a crooked nose, and chapped lips. He was also short. Compared to Elliot, the poor man would be nothing.

I don't feel so good, my head is spinning

Are you new here kid?

Yes actually, I'm a transfer student.

Well since you're new I suppose it's understandable that you don't know the rules of this place huh?

What rules? Daniel asked, tilting his head in confusion.

It's simple, the coach replied, a grin forming. No matter what you're feeling, you don't ever skip gym class. Got it kid?

Daniel could do nothing but nod and went back to warming up. After the thirty-minute warm up ended coach William stepped in.

Alright listen up he shouted we'll be playing dodge ball today as you all know, it helps with exercising while having fun. So that's what well stick to today, understood? everyone shouted yes in unison and some students ran to grab some ball before coming back

Alright everybody choose your team members and let's go. Daniel did not move until a girl came up and said that their team needed an extra member. He nodded and went over to their side where a boy with red hair and light brown cat eyes was standing. He assumed he was their captain since he was giving orders and people were following. They told everyone, including Daniel, what to do. They told Daniel to dodge. If he caught the ball, he should hand it to a team member and not throw it. They assumed he couldn't throw because of how skinny he was. They might even think he wasn't cut out for dodgeball at all, and they were right. But Daniel didn't care. Since everyone at his old school made the same comments, Daniel knew he was sport material and had grown accustomed to it.

At the start of the game, everything went with everyone dodging. Then, Daniel realized that a guy in a blue shirt and sweatpants from the other team was targeting him. At first, Daniel ignored it. But, it got worse as the boy seemed determined to out him. Daniel dodged many balls from the opposing team and tried hard to ignore the boy's continuous death throws. Then, he noticed Elliot. Elliot was staring at him from the bench with a half eaten apple in his hands. He smirked when he realized that Daniel saw him. He raised the apples to his lips and took a bite. Then, it struck Daniel that the apple was his. It was the one he had left with his sketchbook on the roof when he ran away. It was the apple he had bitten into. While lost in thought, he noticed an incoming ball too late. It hit him square in the face. The hit made his nose bleed, caused him to lose his balance, and fall. Holding his nose in pain Daniel sat on the ground

Someone got him to the nurse's office and got him a pack of ice. And who in hell threw the ball hard enough to injure a teammate? the coach asked

Will someone before he could finish his sentence Elliot walked over

The smirk was gone, leaving a stone face. He scooped up Daniel in a bridal carry and walked out. But, before leaving, he glared at the boy who threw the ball. He caused the incident. The glare told the boy that he saw what he did. The boy went pale as he trembled while swallowing hard, leaving everyone shocked. Elliot carried Daniel to the nurse, surprised at how thin and light he was.

Arriving at the nurse, Elliot placed Daniel down on the bed. He made sure Daniel was comfortable. Looking around, he saw a note on the nurse's desk saying, 'out for lunch'. Elliot got the medicine kit and an ice pack. He returned to Daniel and put the ice pack on his forehead.

He used a wet towel to wipe away the blood from his nose. Seeing the blood and Daniel's swollen face made his blood boil.

He regretted not bashing that guy's face. While he was wiping away the blood after a few hours Daniel woke up, rising, he groaned in pain holding his head when a sense of dizziness washed over him.

He looked around wondering where he was

You're at the nurses office princess. A soothing but rough voice said, startling him. He looked in the direction from which the voice came.

He only saw Elliot leaning against the windowsill. The sun's rays cast over his face, making him look beautiful.

Wwhat? Did you carry me here? Daniel asked, still out of it.

That's right princess, you were out cold for quite a while."

How, how long is quite a while? What time is it? "I need to get to class,'' Daniel said. He made a move to get off the bed, but a wave of dizziness washed over him. He stumbled, as if a god had reached out and grabbed him, pulling him into its chest.

Daniel sunk into Elliot's chest allowing the warmth to him. This shocked Elliot. He held Daniel's waist to steady him. Daniel's slender waist surprised him.

He started to think about how Daniel's was slimmer than Sabrina's. He wondered how it would feel to hold Daniel's slim waist as he thrust into him from behind.

They stood there for a while until Daniel pulled away.

I.... Am sorry, I didn't think straight. blushing as he apologized after realizing what he had done. Elliot didn't reply, instead he leaned back on the window and crossed his legs to hide his semi hard erection.

It's 5pm and class has already ended, and everyone has gone home. Were the only ones here princess. ''

Whatwhat do you mean were the only ones here?

I mean, the only humans here in the entire school are me and you princess. hearing this, Daniel couldn't believe what he was hearing. He was alone at school with the most feared person.

But what made him panic more was the thought of how his mother would be wondering where he was. The last thing he wanted was to worry her. I need to call my mom to let her know I'm fine.

She called, and I told her I'm a friend and that you were staying at my place for the night. Daniel stopped and looked at Elliot. He looked at Elliot as if he spoke in another language.

Elliot looked at Daniel as if he said something normal.

Thank. thank you

Sure, thing princess, so since you're staying at my place should we get going princess? Elliot asked, stretching out a hand waiting for Daniel to take it.

Am I staying at your place?'' Daniel searched his face for any hint of joking only to see none. Daniel took Elliot's hand and Elliot led him to his car. He opened the door for him and waited for him to sit before closing it. Then, he went around to the driver's seat, started the engine, and drove off.
