59 : trauma

“What is this?”

Jaeyun put the letter right on his desk while looking at his girlfriend face. Hyejin gulped while playing with her fingers. Actually, she don't have any solid reason to quit from this job but she needs to rest for awhile.

Seeing no reaction from Hyejin makes Jaeyun stood up and went to her. He turned the chair and locked her movement from going anywhere. He held her chin to look up at his face.

“Answer me, darl. You suddenly went missing and didn't attend to work without any notice. To be honest, I don't accept this kind of behavior for my employee, love. You're making me go crazy thinking about your condition. What are you doing? Where are you staying? With whom?” he said and let out a heavy sigh.

Hyejin look at another direction because she hates his smell. Jaeyun is smoking again and the smell of stinky cigarette fill the room now. She knows how frustrated Jaeyun is but she can't help.

“I need time, Jaeyun.”

“I can give you times. Tell me how many time you want, darl?” he asked sarcastically.

“A lot. I need a lot of time so I can make a right decision of continue this relationship or not!” she answered and Jaeyun's eyes darkened, hating the fact that Hyejin thought he's cheating on her.

Jaeyun's hand went to her cheek and Hyejin immediately pushed his hand. Not letting her guard down this time no matter what. Even if Jaeyun start to pleading on her.

“You saw us. It's all misunderstanding, love. She already flew back to Australia the day you saw us. Her grandma was passed away and she just come for a comform before she left. I'm waiting for you but you didn't show up. I'm so worried of you because you didn't pick up my call. I searched for you everywhere but nobody know about your. You're making me go nuts, Hyejin!” he explained.

“I...”

“You are going to believe what you saw, right?” he cut her and she quickly nodded. No matter what she still mad at Jaeyun.

“But that day, you said you'll meet Ethan and I believe you! When I came back I saw you hugged her and you know what? She saw me too but I'm not surprise when you don't know about it because she didn't tell!” she said and Jaeyun furrowed.

Diane saw Hyejin.

But she didn't tell.

Oh, God.

“I did met him!”

“Are you not tell lie to me now? You used to tell lie to me and now you want to believe everything you said? If you really love me then you should know your limit and at least think about me before you hug her? Does she only have you here? Do you have to hug her without thinking if your girlfriend saw it or not? I fucking hate—ummph!”

Jaeyun smashed his lips on Hyejin's and he kiss her like a hungry beast. He held her jaw softly, leads her to kiss him back and he did. Hyejin can't help but kissing him back even though she hates it.

The taste of cigarette.

The room fills with kissing noises. Jaeyun kissed her like her never did it.  He doesn't care if other could hear it. He also doesn't care if she lose her breath as long as he can stop her from saying those words. He hates the fact so much.

Hyejin softly whimpers, “Jae... Jaeyu—ummph!”

He captured her lips again. Not letting her saying anything and Hyejin's eyes started to get teary. She hits his chest with all of her energy and she started to get annoyed. Without realizing she bite his lips and pushed him away. Not only that, she accidentally slapped his face.

Hyejin wiped her lips while sobbing. She covered her face not wanting to see Jaeyun face anymore. Quickly, she stood up and decided to leave but Jaeyun way more faster and he held her wrist, prevent her going away.

“Don't go!”

“Let me go! I'm leaving, Jaeyun!” he hugged her from behind and hide his face between her neck.

“I'm sorry. I'm sorry for everything but don't leave me again. I need you, love. I need you by my side so please stay! Please?” he caressed her arms, hoping she won't leave, “you can hit me Hyejin and I don't care. But please don't say those words to me.”

Hyejin groans, she started to hit Jaeyun's hands and trying to freed herself from his grips. No matter how much he beg, she won't give it up that easy this time. She still in her trauma and Jaeyun expect her to stay calm?

“I'm leaving!” she pushed him a little bit too harsh and finally freed herself.

Quickly, she took her stuff. She went to the door with her wet cheeks and before she left she look at Jaeyun. With those disappointed gaze she said, “I never thought you'll act like this, Sim Jaeyun.”

“Love, please...”

“I'm leaving and that's it!”

And then, she left. She left that building with no regrets, no doubts of what will happen to Jaeyun. Her ego is beyond everything and she decided to stay away from Jaeyun for a moment.

I'm sorry, baby.

Just give me some more time.
