The rewrite of the phantom menace

          All characters and places mentioned in this story were created by LucasFilms in their story of Star Wars.

Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Gin are on their pursuit of the mysterious Sith lord with his double sided lightsaber, Obi-Wan has gotten the sense that he has seen this in one of his visions. The two Jedi agents have gotten the Sith cornered in the palace’s generator shaft. Obi-Wan is still feeling like he is stuck in this weird case of deja vu and he knows how this battle will end with the death of his master.

The battle draws to it match point the Sith is about to struck down the great Qui-Gon but with a whoosh of Obi-Wan’s lightsaber the nefarious Sith’s hand falls to the metallictic floor, normally the Sith wouldn’t fear any anger from a Jedi but there was something different this time the Jedi was out for blood.

With a single swoosh of the lightsaber that belongs to Obi-Wan the Sith’s torso was separated from his legs.

Qui-Gon "Obi-Wan do you realize what you have done?” His words came out nervous, but he couldn’t be more happy that the Sith hunter that was sent to kill him was dead.

Obi-Wan “I killed him master. I know it ain't the Jedi way but he was gonna kill you. I had to think about Anakin, you are the only Jedi that can help him thrive to become powerful.” Obi-Wan lied through the skin of his teeth he couldn’t care if Anakin ran away but he didn’t want Qui-Gon to know that he loves him like a father since any kind of love or emotion is forbidden by the Jedi council.

Qui-Gon” Hey it ok Obi-Wan we will keep this a secret no one has to know.” Qui-Gon reassures his apprentice as they begin to walk out of that musty generator room.

          As the Jedi duo leave the reactor room to go check up on young Anakin, we get shifted down to the bottom of the reactor shaft.

Sidious over his holographic form” Did you succeed, Darth Maul?” He said with anger in his voice as he awaited feedback hours ago.

Darth Maul” I hate to say this but his puny meddlesome apprentice had gutted me.” Maul had to say that all behind his grinded teeth to stop from howling out in pain.

Sidious” You dumb horn headed buffoon how could you have let that rogue Jedi turned Sith continue to breathe he is going to keep coming for us, this teaches me to hire a third rate Sith hunter instead of hiring a real bounty hunter.” Not only was his anger from before still there, it has doubled.

Darth Maul" You don't have the right to get angry. Do you know what it is like to get sliced by a lightsaber? I don't have legs anymore. I don't see you worried about that." He was starting to get angry himself.

Sidious turns the hologram off.

Darth Maul “He ended the call on me, after I lost my legs going after his stupid target, I’m going to make them both pay”. He stormed with anger at both his master and at the target who got away.

            Back at the Jedi Temple after young Anakin Destroyed the trade federation. Qui- Gon is trying to convince Yoda and Mace to let him and Obi-Wan train young Anakin.

Qui-Gon “Yoda with all respect but you are being unreasonable, this kid just saved the galaxy”. He stared deep into Yoda’s soul.

Mace “You can’t speak to the most powerful Jedi and our leader like that”. Mace had said in a sterned tone.

Qui-Gon “I know, but his kid(points at Anakin) is the chosen one he can lead to total peace in the galaxy, we can’t pass up this opportunity”. He was trying to make a compelling argument.

Mace “Look I like you and all but there is one thing you have to remember you already have apprentice, you can’t have two we already been through this”. Mace is growing annoyed at Qui-Gon

        Qui-Gon was about to start back up again and then out of the blue Obi-Wan started talking.

Obi-Wan “I could train him, I'm ready I have learned much from this man right here (points at Qui-Gon), let me do this please” Obi-Wan had spoken his heart out trying to help his master and possibly his new apprentice.

Mace “ It can't work there no way you are ready right Qui (looks at Qui-Gon expecting him to agree with him, but Qui-Gon agreed with Obi-Wan) you do realize you are sending him to death right”? Mace raised his eyebrow.

Qui-Gon “I have faith in young Obi to train Anakin (places hand on Obi’s shoulder) he is more than ready”.

Mace “Yoda you have to agree with me right (Yoda shakes his head no) so you agree with them (Yoda shakes his head in agreement) unbelievable, whatever enjoy your new apprentice”. Mace storms out of the room cursing under his breath.

The council is all partying and talking with each other and do not realize that Qui-Gon was messing.

          
Qui-Gon over the hologram “So chancellor you're the one who wanted me dead”.
          
Palpatine “Yes, but I have a plan on how we can rule the galaxy”.
          
Qui-Gon “why are you telling me about your plans”? He was in complete shock
        
Palpatine “Cause you are powerful”. Stroking the ego of Qui-Gon. “So you in”?
          
Qui-Gon “Yes”
          
Palpatine “Meet me on the day that a bounty hunter goes for the head of Queen Amidala”
        
Qui-Gon “Yes my master”.

Palpatine “excellent”.
