60 : drunk beg

It's been a week after the last time they had fight and Jaeyun nonstop texting and calling her. Hyejin didn't reply to any of it or pick up his calls. But since the last two days, he stop disturbing her and that makes Hyejin worried.

And finally, she got an answer when Ethan called her saying that Jaeyun needs her. Hyejin looks at outside and it's almost raining and at the middle of the night. What Ethan said keeps repeating in her mind and she started to feel anxious.

“He drank nonstop since Wednesday. Jake is not a big fan of drinking but seeing him like this makes me worried. He kept chanting your name, Hyejin. Please come here. If you don't want to continue the relationship at least end it in a good way.”

Hyejin asked a permission from her parents and gladly they allowed her. She quickly drove to his penthouse and when she arrived there it's start raining heavily. Jungwon opened the door for Hyejin and the moment she entered the room she coughed.

“Sorry for the smell, noona. He smoking again and drank a lot. We don't know how to stop him and he always mentioned your name—even in his sleep.” Jungwon explained the situation and brings her to the living room.

Hyejin's eyes widen when she saw Jaeyun laying on the cough with his messy clothes, empty bottles on the table and some unfinished cigarettes. Ethan let out a sigh of relief when he sees her face and quickly walked towards Hyejin. He gives her a little smile.

“How long he has been drinking, Jungwon?” she asked with her cracked voice, her eyes get teary by watching Jaeyun's condition.

“Almost one week. He kept looking for you and trying his best to make up with you but you didn't respond. I understand your feeling, noona, but I can't handle him if all he wanted is you.” Jungwon explained and Hyejin almost collapse but Ethan hold her.

She look up at Ethan and he softly nodded, assured her everything will be alright.

“Ethan... He... How come?” she asked and covered her face. Ethan hugged her for a moment before he widen their gap.

“Please take a good care of him, Hyejin. He almost lost hope if you never show up. When he already sober I want you to have a talk with him. He's crazy enough without you by his side.” he said while caresses her cheeks, wiped those precious tears.

“We will help you bring him upstairs. Please stay here until he's become normal, can you?” Jungwon asked again and Hyejin didn't hesitate at all. She nodded and the two males bring Jaeyun to his room.

After they left, Hyejin went to Jaeyun's bedroom and she could hears he muttering her name, hands moving around maybe trying to search for her existence. He started to crying when noticed he's alone there.

Wiped her tears, Hyejin softly get on the bed and laid right next to Jaeyun. Her arms wrapped around his torso and hugged him tightly. She left a few kisses on his face and lastly on his lips.

“Jaeyun-ie, my baby I'm sorry!” she whispered and Jaeyun quickly shows some reaction.

“Hyejin...” he muttered. He lifted his hand as if he tried to reach something, “love... please...”

“Yes, I'm here Jaeyun!”

“I'm sorry, love...”

The next day, Hyejin woke up first to prepare hangover soup for Jaeyun. No matter what she will fix this relationship. She can't bear watching Jaeyun act that way again. It hurts her so much!

Maybe, that's how he act before.

That's why he beg on me.

She brings the platter with hangover soup with water and some medicine to his room. Hyejin smiled when she saw how calm Jaeyun is when he is sleeping. She put the platter on the table and softly sat at the edge of the bed.

Ran her finger through his hair, she tapped his shoulder to wake him up, “Jaeyun? Wake up it's almost 9 o'clock!”

He groaned as an answer but Hyejin didn't give up and she still trying to wake him up. Meanwhile, Jaeyun trying to go back to sleep because he keeps hearing the same voice. He thought he's really going nuts.

Hyejin pulled the comforter that covered Jaeyun's face and without warning she left a soft kiss on his plump lips. Doesn't care with the taste of alcohol and cigarettes will fill her mouth.

“Wake up, baby. I'm here now and I won't leave.” she softly whispered and easily succeed because Jaeyun trying to open his eyes.

When he finally opened his eyes, he just blankly stared at Hyejin's face. It took a few minutes for him to recognize his own girlfriend face but Jaeyun chuckled the moment he realized.

“What are you doing here?” he asked and Hyejin smiled.

“I'm here for you, Jaeyun.” she answered while caressed his cheeks but Jaeyun avoiding her touch.

“Really? I thought you come here because you need more time?” he sarcastically asked and that question makes Hyejin's expression changed. She bite her lips.

“The time you give more than enough. I came because they worried of your condition. Whatever you did before it was reckless, Jaeyun!” she said and Jaeyun just scoffed.

“Why would you ever care?” he asked back before pushed her body softly.

He scooted away from Hyejin and wake up. He massage his temples because of the alcohol. He drank a lot because the young lady right in front of him. How come she could come and act like she's not the reason behind of all this?

Hyejin tried to reach him but Jaeyun softly yanked her hand, “I need to take a shower. I'll eat the soup and you can leave now.”

Jaeyun stood up and went inside the shower, didn't even wait for Hyejin's respond.
