The Princess of Pukeya's backstory is quite interesting. She was born to a suta couple, told by the gods that she would marry Krishna and that she was Mahalakshmi. She was named Radhika by the gods as she was the beloved of Krishna.
The suta couple were none other than Adhiratha and Radha (Adoptive parents of Karna). They were worried that their daughter would not be able to fulfill her destiny, if she stayed with them, so Radha took a decision that she wouldn't wish on anyone. When Radhika turned 1 years old, Radha took her daughter and left her in the river where later she would find Karna. Radha was devestated for days after and her husband started to ignore her due to what she did to his precious daughter. Adhiratha loved his daughter, so when he found out what his wife did to get rid of his daughter, he was angered, hurt and wouldn't talk to his wife at all. Their relationship became strained.

The maharaj had searched for ways, but at last it was said that Maharani Ada had damaged her womb and was infertile. Ada was devestated and depressed for months until they found Radhika. Radhika was found on the river banks in a small basket. The couple were very happy and thanked every god that they got a child. They adored and pampered their pyaari princess.
Karna had found out who his sister was when he was just newly crowned the King of Anga, so he had gone to seek her out, after finding her, the princess had said she was only Varun and Ada's daughter and officially Karna's sister. She wasn't arrogant, oh no, but Varun and Ada had raised her, so she felt as they only had the right as her parents.
Karn knew he was dead. Oh he knew. He forgot to inform his sister that he was bring a bhabhi for her and he was worried for his life. To please her a bit, he made proper arrangements and brought her in a grand way. Just by the way she looked at him, he knew he was dead. As soon as she stepped into the palace, she kept her hand around her waist and started scolding him mockingly
Radhika: Well I guess, I'm not that important in my brother's life!!
Karna: You are my dear behen. I promise.
Radhika : Well, I expected a guy who cared about his sister to inform her about a bhabhi coming in her life.

After which the two got into a discussion about how Rajkumari Advika was to Karna. After a couple hours, they had dinner and laughed about their life. Karna was happy to his sister as he hadn't seen her for a while. Radhika was overjoyed when she found out that the lucky princess who was gonna be her bhabhi was none othe than Rajkumari Advika. Radhika had admired Advika ( and had a crush on her brother, Krishna) so she was very delighted for her brother. After a while, Radhika had bid adieu to Anga, promising to come for the wedding and got on her horse and left.
