IDW Sonic and friends watch real time fandub

prologue

In a theater in the outskirts of all realities, an entity was quite bored of what to do. Looking around their living place in such a void of nothingness trying to find a way to entertain themselves, until they found a box of DVDs of a familiar universe, but instead of being the original adventures, it was an improvised recreation of it... That gave them an idea!

"I shall make the actual characters react to this. I'm truly a genius!" The entity said with a happy smile

They picked up the box and pulled out some paper and a pencil, writing a quick note on it before looking out their window, trying to figure out where exactly to send it

"Hmm... Is it there? No, that's where Reality A.S used to be. Oh, there!" The entity smiled and sent the box hurtling towards that reality

This would be pretty fun, they're sure of it

Jewel was finishing some paperwork on her desk while humming a random song before a box materialized right in front of her, scaring her and making her fall off her chair

"Aah!" Jewel yelped, some of her helpers came to... well, help her get back up

The beetle looked at the box once again and noticed a note on it, the very nature of that object having appeared in front of her already confused her, so maybe that note could give her some answers. She grabbed the piece of paper and began to read it

"Hello citizens of this universe, I'm from a different universe that is being threatened by a great evil, I'm not sending this to ask for help, it's already too late for that, however, I do wish that our culture stays intact in some way, it's the only way I see for my universe to remain alive. Here is a collection of videos from my universe, where the adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog have been documented in the form of games to entertain and make children and adults alike smile, however, these videos are from a group that dubbed over the game by improvising it all completely in one take, along with some extra videos you may want to watch, it's a form of comedy that I give your universe as my final goodbye. Please, call as many people as you can to come watch this and show it to them, it would make me the most glad to see that my universe still brings laughs even after it's destruction."

Jewel gaped after reading that, putting a hand on her mouth in shock and sadness. These were the last remains of a destroyed universe, and this person wished to use them to bring smiles and laughs to people instead of sadness from his story. She still was confused and a little intimidated at the idea of a creature being out there that was capable of destroying entire universes, but she could think about that later, right now

"Alright, I will show it to them." Jewel sighed and called someone so she could reunite as many people as she could for this

At Eggman's base, he was working on something new, a new plan that would be sure to succeed this time, only for a box to appear right beside him with a note, he looked at that and rose an eyebrow, grabbing the note because he was curious at the reason this got here

"Hello, I'm from a different universe that, at the time you receive this, has already been destroyed by a terrible force, it's a pleasure to me for you to receive this gift, Doctor. These here are the documentations of your genius plans along with the adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog in game form, however, they have been dubbed over by a improv comedy group. It would warm my heart if you could watch it and see yourself in this, it would really show-"

Eggman then crumbled that paper and threw it away, grabbing the box and throwing it to Orbot and Cubot

"You two, get rid of this useless junk. I have better things to do than to watch some dumb comedy shows making fun of me or that hedgehog." Eggman said and went back to work

Orbot and Cubot then ran away, carrying the box along with them. Until they looked at each other and then at the box... They were curious to find out what was on these videos... The two robot servants then went away from that room with the box, however something about that letter made him curious

"So another universe made contact with mine this time. That opens the doors to a lot of things. And even with a creature strong enough to destroy universes, I could probably create a machine to control it!" Eggman said, he already had experience trying to control creatures of immense power, so he was sure he could control the creature that destroyed that random person's universe

It's as they say third time-no wait, fourth-... This time it will work!

At the Restoration's HQ, a large group of people were together in a big cinema like room to watch whatever it these videos were going to be

"So, these videos are from another universe? Fascinating, for someone to be able to send this amount of things..." Tails said while looking at the box

"That's awesome! We're going to be able to see Sonic's previous adventures first hand and even learn about things from other universes!" Tangle said as she changed from the ceiling by her tail

"Honestly, it kinda sounds like a waste of time but I've been pretty bored lately so I guess it's better than nothing." Surge said while sitting down on a chair

"I'm surprised Shadow is here." Silver said actually impressed

"You wouldn't believe how hard it was to convince him to come." Rouge said while Shadow huffed and looked away

"Well, we had to pay you some gems for you to come..." Amy sweatdropped

"Of course, my time is a very precious thing after all." Rouge smirked, making Amy roll her eyes

"Alright guys, let's watch this already. I'm curious to see how awesome people from other universes think I am." Sonic crossed his arms and sit down, making Tails sigh and sit right besides him

"Well, I at least managed to give a video transmissioner to Knuckles so he could watch it with us while still guarding the master emerald. Right, Knuckles?" Tails looked to the side to see a small tablet on the chair, with Knuckles being on the screen

"Yeah, this is actually pretty handy, although a little complicated to work with." Knuckles said while moving the device around a bit, at least like that he could watch whatever that was with his friends while still protecting the Master Emerald on Angel Island

"Let's get started then." Jewel smiled and put on the first video, titled Sonic Adventure 2 Hero Story

With the entity, it sighed a little annoyed at how Eggman refused their gift, but at least he could count on Orbot and Cubot to make sure he sees what he wants to

"Creating all of that backstory was truly the greatest idea I had for this. Although, that could actually cause some trouble since they will probably think there's a giant monster that devours universes coming to eat them..." the entity thought about it a little, before shrugging "Meh, not my problem."

Hello and welcome to this thing, an idea I had and thought "oh, why not.". It's my first time writing Sonic characters so please be patient with me because I might end up getting some things wrong about how the characters act, but it's what happens so who cares
