*You slowly open your eyes and look around your head is pounding your vision is blurry you feel like you can't speak all you feel is someone holding your hand. You see Lando sitting in a chair next to you still in his race suit holding your hand.*

Y/n: Lando

*You say slowly and shakily*

Lando: Omg y/n your ok.

Y/n: What happened?

Lando: Don't worry about what happened are you ok?

Y/n: My head is pounding it hurts so bad.

Lando: That is what is going to happen. You had a 31G crash.

Y/n: 31G that is crazy I can't remember anything.

*You screw your face up in pain. As Lando goes for the call button two doctors walk into your room.*

Doctor 1: Y/n you're awake that is good.

Doctor 2: Is your head sore?

Y/n: Yeah it is really bad.

Doctor 2: We will give you pain medication we want you to stay in the hospital for at least a week.

Y/n: Why do I need to stay that long I am fine.

Doctor 1: Since you had a very powerful accident you popped a disk in the back of your neck and you have some swelling in your brain.

*You looked at Lando and instantly broke down in tears.*

Doctor 2: I know this is a big thing to process we will leave you two by yourself.

Lando: Y/n it's ok we will be able to work through this together.

Y/n: Does this mean I won't be able to race again?

*you say while still crying.*

Lando: I talked to them since you have to stay around one week in the hospital they said you won't be able to race for one and a half months which means you will miss the first three races of the season.

Y/n: Why did this have to happen to me if I drove for a full season I would be in the running for the driver's championship.

Lando: It is ok you will come back stronger and healthier and you will be beating everyone.

*Your Mum and Dad all of a sudden walk in. You try to sit up but your head feels like you have a million weights on it when you try to move.*

Mum: Hey honey it is good to see that you woke up.

Y/n: Hey Mum hey Dad.

Dad: Hey Lando thanks for waiting with her but you can leave now.

Y/n: No Dad he is going to stay.

Christian: Why he isn't part of the family?

Y/n: He is my boyfriend.

Christian: What, do you remember what I told you would happen if you dated any of the drivers?

Y/n: Yes I do. Lando has been the one who has been by my side through the highs and lows he has helped me through all of my mental breakdowns and all of my panic attacks. All you care about is making sure you win and make sure that you are at the top you don't care about me and you don't care about my life and what I am going through. That is why I am going to be following up on the offers from Mercedes and McLaren.

*Your Dad is just sitting there in pure shock. You look over at Lando who has a smile on his face because he is proud that you stood up for yourself. Later that day Carlos, Charles & Riccardo come and visit you they bring all of your and Lando's clothes and belongings. Lando goes into the bathroom and gets changed out of his race suit. Carlos takes a Trophie out of his bag.*

Carlos: I won this for you.

*He hands you the trophy.*

Y/n: Aww thanks Carlos that is so nice.

Carlos: After the 30-minute break we had so they could clean up the track and get you to the hospital I couldn't believe what had happened so I wanted to win this in your honour because you are the strongest person I know and I know that if you didn't crash you would have certainly won.

Y/n: Carlos that is so nice. You didn't have to do that.

Riccardo: We are all friends so when we all raced for you and we all raced our asses off and we all made it onto the podium I came second and Charles came third.

Y/n: What happened to Max?

Charles: He said he wanted to come but his girlfriend told him that he wasn't allowed to see you but said he would call you later.

Y/n: Kelsie is so controlling and annoying she doesn't like me.

Lando: You don't need to worry about her you have all of us.

Y/n: Aw thanks, guys.

Carlos: So how many races do we get to win before you come back?

Y/n: I am supposed to race for less than 1 and a half months, which means I am supposed to miss the season's first three races.

Lando: And you are going to miss them.

*The doctor walks back in and sees everyone sitting around you and Lando lying in your bed with you.*

Doctor: Is this a bad time?

Y/n: No it is fine.

Doctor: If you wake up tomorrow and your head is feeling better and you can move you will be able to go home in the afternoon.

Lando: That is great news thank you, doctor.

Doctor: If you are let out early you still aren't allowed to race for 1 and a half months and that is because if you go back too early you can injure your neck even more and if you do more damage you could become paralyzed from the waist down which means you won't be able to race ever again.

Lando: Thanks for clearing that up I will look after her.

*The doctor then leaves the room.*

Carlos: You will look after her? You guys seem very close.

Y/n: You haven't told them yet?

All of them: Tell us what?

Lando: We are dating.

Riccardo: We are so proud of you, you guys are cute.

Charles: Doesn't your dad not want you to date anyone in the paddock?

Y/n: Well yeah we told him today because he tried to kick Lando out and he got really mad and he hasn't come back.

Charles: He told you that you would get kicked out of the team.

Y/n: Yeah I am ok with that Red Bull is becoming very toxic.

Charles: Then where are you going to go?

Y/n: Well you know how my Mum and I are very close I have filled her in with everything that has happened and she is also my manager. At the start of the year, I got offers from McLaren and Mercedes so we are going to see if those offers are still on the table. But no one will want me now that I am injured, I won't be able to drive well anymore.

Charles: Don't say that if you work with the doctors they will help you get better and they will get you back stronger than ever.
