520: I Love You

Prologue

November, 2016

I am standing in front of this santol tree, where I can feel the wind as it touches my skin. It was year 2016, a cold November of 2016.  I was told to wait here by my org mate Matthew. It has been 10 minutes since I came here. Where is he by now? He said that we have to meet up here to discuss something about the event for English Week Event. I'm being impatient...I have to meet a friend by 5:00pm... It's already 4:30pm. While I looked into my watch to check the time. Urggh I'm being too impatient now! My friend is waiting somewhere for me yet I am here also waiting for someone. 

Until someone pushes me and surprised me. 

-Lauren!!" he said with a wide smile on his face. 

Finally, he's here. 

-Hey! It's been 10 minutes. I've been waiting here that long, you insane? So tell me now. What's up with the English Week?" 

-Yes yes yes I know I made you wait. Hold on, - As he laughed, and he handed me a red rose. 

-Uhmmm for you Laura. Sorry for making you wait. I just waited this red rose to bloom.- He smiled to me dearly and laugh. 

As he showed and handed me his present, I did not know what to say. I looked into his eyes, and I can't keep this emotion anymore, his smile is too contagious. So, I smiled to him. 

-Anyway, why you're so sudden to give me this? - I asked him. 

-Isn't obvious Laura? We've been org mates since 7th grade and I know that you know what we felt for each other, remember what you confessed to me when we're in the 8th grade?

He speaks to me so confidently as if we're in the same feeling.

Matthew is a great guy, and I can't deny that fact. Yes, I do confess my feelings for him when we're in 8th grade during a wedding booth. I told him that "Yes I do, I will marry you" HOWEVER, It doesn't mean anything, it was just an event that we have to both acts, mainly because we're part of the organizers team in that wedding booth. 

-Hey! I'll beat you come on! You're crazy. 

-Do I look like joking, Laura? 

His smile suddenly faded, and he looked to my eyes straightly while holding my hand. Does he really mean it? I silently asked myself that question while looking to this guy in front of me. Until my alarm clock began to rung.

This alarm noise broke the moment. I looked at my watch and here we go, it's 5pm now. I'm late for my 2nd meet up for my friend.

-Matthew we're too immature that time and we both know that was just an act. It's a wedding booth. Come on. We both knew that.

I told him that directly and gave back the red roses he gave me. 

-I have to go now. Go and find another girl that can play along with your acts. 

And I left him as I walked away from him. Now, I'm on my way to meet my best friend / cousin, Rafaela. She must be waiting for me now. And I'm late to our meet up because of Matthew. I run so fast to go in the library.

As I went to the library, I found no one. It's 5:30pm and the library is already closed so I travel back home.

-Where are you couz? I said.
And since then, I never saw my best friend/cousin again.
