Narrator's POV.

Jackson Lee, he was a mysterious one, but his desire to protect Veronica were more than just that. He secretly looked after her, during her toughest and most dangerous moments, he was there, why? Because Hades had ordered him to, he looked after her, studied her from the shadows, without even knowing he'd fallen for her. He kept his distance, remained in the shadows, but he never stopped being amused by her. The problem was that he knew he could never be loved by her, as her heart only belonged to the one and only, Jason Todd. it was tragic in this point of view, but he knew, he couldn't have her in the first place, so the least he could do was take her to her rightful home.

Veronica's pov.

"So, Jackson.. how long will it take for us to get there?" I asked, I felt a little desperate to see Jason, to let him know I was okay before he would go berserker.

Jackson looks back at me before answering and letting out a long sight. "we will get there soon.. just be patient." he pleaded as he kept walking down the "eternal" mountain, it's been days and we still hadn't arrived, by now Gotham must be doomed.

"since we are still a long way from getting to our destination, would you mind telling me why I didn't die?" I asked, the journey was long and I might as well get answers from it.

I could see him hesitate for a bit before answering my question. "I.. don't know, it wasn't just the broken link between his world and yours, it was.. something else, I can't even explain myself, but I have an idea of why and what you might be." He answers, but his answers only made me more confused.

"What I mean is, you are Hade's daughter, but the other gods might have something else to do with you." He finished speaking before pointing towards a cabin near a river, in the middle of nowhere.

"We're here.. you'll finally see your beloved." He spoke with a hint of sarcasm as I ran down the hill, forgetting about everything he just said for the meantime, I wanted to see Jason.
