A/N'S POV-

Adrenaline buzzed through her body as her mind worked, trying to find a way out, her heart pounding frantically now.

She would not be chased like a wild animal and murdered. No.

A gunshot was heard and the bullet straightaway hit her car tyre.

Tears formed in her eyes with fear. But she didn't dare let them out. She should be brave at this situation. She should save herself.

There is no other way out.

Gritting her teeth, she almost hit the accelerator again when a loud noise broke through, blood rushing in her ears.

The only name which came into her mind at this situation was- Jungkook.

He warned atleast for a thousand times not to step out of the mansion without informing him.

Did she listen? NO.

Y/N glanced at the rearview mirror again, to see another black car on the road which was driven in a dangerously high speed by the driver of the car.

Y/N pulled to the side, giving him the space to pass, to not involve an innocent stranger in whatever madness this was, and saw the SUV pull behind her too.

The Car got closer and closer to them, and the moment Y/N thought it would pass, the most bizarre thing happened.

The Black Car swerved and inserted itself in the space between her car and the SUV.

What the hell?

'what the hell. Is the driver insane?' She thought.

Y/N pulled to the edge of the road again and turned around to look at the disaster about to happen.

Except it didn't.

The driver pulled out a gun from his back with one hand while maintaining both the speed and balance of the car with the other impressively.

He did a total one-eighty degree turn completely, outside the window on the empty road, facing the oncoming SUV.

He raised his gun as Y/N watched, enthralled, heart thundering, and pointed it to the front tyre.

A shot fired and the SUV skidded, before braking suddenly.

The car stopped too, facing away from her towards the beast of a vehicle like it was a beast in itself.

The driver kept his arm raised, pointed at the vehicle. She couldn't look at his face as it was covered with a black mask.

Y/N looked at the white shirt stretched taut across his muscular back and tucked into dark pants. She looked at the sleeves rolled up and muscles of his forearms with the hints of tattoos peeking out, the other free hand on the handle on the car.

Her neck started aching from being turned around but she didn't remove her eyes, didn't even blink, her heart racing at the scene.

She got off her car and stood on her feet.

Everything was still.

The SUV.

The Black Car.

The Strange man.

Completely.

Almost as though in a silent duel, a showdown she didn't understand a thing of.

But she could feel the tension rolling in the air, thick and heavy and ready to explode at a moment's notice.

Everything was still. Except for her heaving chest. Whoever that man was, she was rooting for him.

There was something dangerous about the way he'd held himself in motion, something even more dangerous about the way he held himself in this stillness.
