Love is like a dream. A peaceful place where nothing can go wrong, you control everything; scenery, places, even the animals and people if you so choose. You could be a normal teenage girl, meet your prince charming and ride off into the sunset like Snow White or Cinderella. A fairy tale come true; then a faint beeping or buzzing noise sounds through your peaceful little world.
The colors fade and your happy moment comes crashing down; reality has reared her ugly head and forced you to acknowledge the one thing which makes our younger selves cringe. Fairy tales, dreams, even love will not come true.
Your precious happy ending with prince charming and everything you have ever dreamt up will never come to fruition. It is often said that dreams and reality are intertwined so tightly it becomes hard to discern one from the other. Sometimes, I wish dreams didn’t have to end. Reality isn’t as fun with all the chaos in the world. I mean, who wants to live in a world where there is prejudice of someone’s body type or color, how they dress, who they like and so forth.
I don’t. I can tell you that is a fact. I can also tell you thoughts control actions.
But….
What if dreams and reality really were one and the same? Here me out, okay? Sometimes people can have Deja Vu or premonitions; you know when you have a feeling or something happens and it feels like it already happened before and you totally called it, but others look at you strange? Well, what if the feelings are just wishes that you make under your breath and they happen. You haven’t fallen asleep; you are definitely not dreaming while walking down the crowded school hall during lunch time and watch your feeling unfold before your eyes.
Still don’t believe me. That’s fine. I believe what I want, and you can believe your own beliefs. Would it make a difference if I told you; if dreams and reality are the same, then how can someone dream?
