There wasn't anything I could do. Curse Katsunori! I wish I could move my arms and blast his head off. Katsunori was about to hurt Yui and his evil plan was going to work and everything was going to go wrong and father and I would be responsible and is that Shiro? Katsunori was thrown off balance because Shiro popped out of his ring.
"Yui! I'm so sorry about everything and about that day. Please forgive me I-" Shiro was interrupted by Yui's hug.
"I miss you so much."
Shiro, who was shocked at first, hugged her back tightly. I could see his gaze soften and a smile form across his face. Their moment was interrupted by Katsunori's laughter.
"What a romantic moment. Too bad everything comes to an end. Thank you for providing me with energy for these few weeks."
He walked closer and closer to Shiro and Yui. Shiro quickly stood in front of Yui with his arms out.
"I'm your target! Don't hurt Yui!"
"I want to see your face when Yui suffers in the most agonizing pain." Katsunori said with a smile.
"Not on my watch!"
Katsunori turned around and quickly stepped aside to avoid Koichi's kick. Koichi landed on the ground and ran towards Katsunori, did a super cool front flip and kicked Katsunori who raised his arm to avoid the blow to his face. He slid a little backwards, his arm bleeding even more from srapping on concrete during the fight with the monster cat and the graze of Koichi's shoes. That's when I realized Katsunori was fighting in his t-shirt, not his armor, giving him a big disadvantage. I guess Koichi realized that too because he was shooting lasers instead of physical fighting now.
"Give up?" Koichi said, smirking. "If you're so brave, stop dodging all my lasers."
"You're right. I give up." Katsunori's smug smile disappeared. He lifted his hand and walked forward. Is the infamous Katsunori really giving up to Koichi?! "I..." His smile was back. "I think you're stupid."
"What?"
I watched as Katsunori raised his leg and kicked Koichi in the crotch area. Koichi fell to the floor and Katsunori laughed.
"Come on, let's go." Katsunori said, walking back to father and me. A portal opened up and father and I obediently walked inside. I turned my head to look at Kazuki rushing over to see if Koichi was okay. Koichi was one of the youngest people to join the Multidimensional defense force despite failing elementary school and is one of the strongest people I know. If father and Koichi can't stop Katsunori, then who can?
We ate takeout that night. The warehouse was stuffy and hot, making me lose my appetite. At least I think it was because of the warehouse. The regularly tasty sushi tastes dry and bland. I looked around to see where Katsunori was but he was out of sight ever since he handed us the takeout. I looked over at father. His eyes were dull and droopy. He saw me looking at him and gave me a smile.
"Things will be alright. Don't worry." He said.
I didn't have the heart to tell him that we were out of luck so I simply nodded and looked back at the food.
