Hinata woke up in unfamiliar surroundings, after a quick glance he remembered where he was.
'Right, we moved to Hyogo yesterday..'
It still felt so unreal to him, yesterday morning he woke up in Tokyo, happy to return back home and have dinner with his family and next thing he knows he's packing his bags to move to Hyogo with his mother. What did he do to deserve this? He was finally able to play in a team where no one really cared about whether or not he was able to do anything. All he could really do was jump high and smack the ball down on the other side of the court.
And now here he was, having to go to a new high school, play in a new team which hopefully was just as accepting as his now old team. Karasuno was his first official team, he had a special bond formed with it and was proud of every single one of the other members. Heck, he even managed to get closer to the king named Kageyama. And he even took a liking to the ever so salty Tsukishima.
Hinata looked over to his left where his phone was, he picked it up and pressed the power-on button. He was immediately blinded by the bright screen, slowly adjusting to the bright light he noticed that he had gotten quite a few messages from his friends. He didn't feel like replying yet, so he just checked the time which was 10:17am and then turned his phone back off.
Shortly after he put his phone in the pocket of his sweatpants and stood up. His room was still empty and only a few boxes remained. He thought for a while before he began to unpack all of his stuff. There were already a few shelves in his room and a closet, so he put away his clothes and then some things on the shelves. The rest was still in the boxes because those things would either go on his bed or his desk. Both would arrive sometime during the next few days.
Feeling like he's done more than enough in his room for now, he walked over to his door and opened it. Immediately he was hit by his mother on the phone with someone, she sounded somewhat stressed?
"I will call back later, my son just woke up. Good bye." And with that she put down the phone and let out a sigh. Hinata now walked into the kitchen, seeing his mother sitting on one of the chairs, her head in her hands.
"Are you okay mom?" He asked carefully. Walking over to the counter and grabbing his tea that his mother kindly prepared. Just like she did every morning back in Miyagi. Miyagi... oh how he missed it, what his friends must be thinking? Did they miss him?
"I'm fine Shouyou. I was just on a call with someone from my new workplace."
'New workplace? Did she already find a new job? Just how long have they been planning to move away?' It really made him wonder just how much has happened at home during his training camp in Tokyo.
"Oh okay.." he answered, his voice was low and sounded more tired than ever. "Do you still need some help unpacking?" She looked around the room once and then turned to him with a kind smile.
"No no, it's fine. Why don't you go outside? Get to know the neighborhood a little. I saw a park around the corner, maybe you can find some new friends there." She was kind, trying to keep the mood up. She can tell how sad Hinata is about all of these changes, his friends are hours away and the only way to contact them is via his phone. 'Going to the park sounds like a good idea to distract myself a little. Maybe I could find someone to play Volleyball with.'
With his new goal in mind, he quickly got dressed and left the house after having put on his white sneakers. The weather was sunny, decently warm which is why he was wearing black shorts that go to his knees and an oversized white sweatshirt with some bright blue accents on the bottom. He also had his bag swung around his body, hanging on his left side with his volleyball under his right arm.
