Chapter 9

Jasper looked right at me and moved right in front of me.

"If you touch her, you'll get it"

"Oh yeah what makes you so touch Jasper?" A person in Abigail's possy said.

"Are you really going to test me?"

"Yes we are Jasper" Jack said.

I looked at Jack with a deadly and scared stare. He was really willing to hurt Jasper and I. How could he do this to me. He had now officially crossed the line.

"Oh really Jack, you honestly think your that tough." I said.

"Laura go screw yourself"

"Jack your the one that freakin messed the whole friendship up"

"Your dead to me Laura, you are no longer a meaningful person to me."

"Jack nor or you"

"Laura your a freakin slut"

"That's it, you have crossed the line Jack"

That's when I ran up to Jack and pushed him down on the gravel and kneeled on top of him in an angle where he could get up. I was hitting him in the arm and slapping him in the face. Then he scrambled up and pushed me to the ground and took out a pocket knife.

"One more move and your dead"

"Jack get off me, get off me, GET OFF ME!!!"

Then Jasper ran up and pushed Jack back on the floor and was throwing punches. Abigail just stood there with her group laughing.

"Go to hell Abigail"

"I'm already in it Laura"

"Abigail, you have always been the one that ruined my whole life, you and my parents. I'm done with you treating me like a freakin freak. Your the one that nobody likes. They only like you for your looks and your popularity. Abigail Klein your nothing but a dirty scumbag to me!"

"Oh really Laura, well that's for your boyfriend to decide"

"Keep him out of this"

"No, Jasper how many girls are you going to use and get pregnant this time?"

"What is she talking about Jasper?"

"Don't believe her"

"No, tell me what's going on?"

Jasper got up off of Jack and came over to me. I didn't care what Jaspers past was I just needed to know what was going on.

"Laura a few years ago, I got a girl pregnant but she got an abortion. Laura I love you and only you"

"Jasper I love you to, this happened in the past"

"I can't believe this" Abigail said

"Laura go to hell" Jack said.

"Just go your wasting your time Jack"

Jasper gave me a big hug and walked me to my house. By the time the fight was over the sky was an orange/red/peach color because of the sun down.

"My parents are going to kill me"

"Why Laura?"

"Because it's late"

"Not really"

"Yes. Thanks for saving me"

"Laura I will always be there for you"

"Jasper, I love you"

"Love you to Laura"

I finally got home and Jasper gave me a kiss and I walked inside the house. My parents weren't there so I just went up to my room. When I got in there was a note. That read:

"Dear Laura, your father and I both agreed we needed help. We both went to a rehab for a 9 months for use of drugs and alcohol and child neglecting. Laura your probably wondering who is going to take care of you and your aunt Lynn is going to take care of you do behave. We love you dearly,

Mom and dad"

I was happy that my parents are going to be clean now. But I was upset the my aunt Lynn was going to take care of me. She is the sister of my dad. Her and I never got along we always argue and have different opinions about everything. She hates my music and my style which always gets me irritated because let me dress the way I want to dress and listen to the kind of music I want to listen to.

I figured I would start my homework and wait for my aunt Lynn to get here. I pulled out my math book and got a fresh sheet of paper from my binder and wrote my name at the top left corner. I began to write out the first problem when I heard a car pull up in the drive way. I looked outside and my aunt Lynn's car was there.

I just rolled my and went downstairs to greet her. She rang the door bell and I quickly opened it and she gave me a big hug.

"Laura, I miss you. And who is that band you got on your shirt?"

"Pierce the Veil Aunt Lynn"

"Oh, interesting name."

"I guess"

"So how are you honey"

"I'm okay"

"Good well honey I got to put my stuff in the guest room"

"Okay, and please don't call me 'honey".

"Okay then doll"

"Just call me Laura"

"Okay will do"

I have to live with her for 9 months lovely. I went back up stairs and began my homework for the second time and put my phone in my docing station and put on "King for a Day" by Pierce the Veil ft. Kellin Quinn.

I was working really fast. The music really gets me going.

"LAURA TURN OFF THAT GOD AWFUL MUSIC!!"

"No"

"Yes"

"Why your not my mom"

"Laura, you've got 3 seconds. 1.... 2...3..."

I finally turned it off. I was already done with my homework and I really just wanted to got to sleep. I put my stuff away and got into my pajamas. My aunt Lynn came up stairs into my room.

"Oh Laura who are all these boys you've got on your wall"

" Punk rock bands I like Aunt Lynn"

"Oh okay. So do you like anyone?"

"I have a boyfriend"

"Ooooh tell me his name."

"His name is Jasper"

"Details"

"He's really sweet, and really cares for me."

"Do your mom and dad know?"

"Well, no"

"Oh are you going to tell them when they get back?"

"Probably"

"Okay good"

"Aunt Lynn, can I ask you something?"

"Anything sweetheart."

"Don't call me that"

"Oops sorry, okay Laura carry on"

"Have you ever been betrayed?"

"Many of times."

"Okay just wondering"

"Have you Laura?"

"Yes, we was my best friend"

"Let me guess you don't want to talk about it?"

"No"

"Alright then"

I just smiled trying to hide the hurt that I was feeling insider my aunt Lynn left my room and I just layed on my bed and looked up at the ceiling until I fell asleep.
