Seungcheol sighed, gazing at Jeonghan before shifting his eyes to the sky. "I’m not sure. It’s our thing, you know? We wouldn’t want a third person’s opinion, no matter who they are or how close we are to them. Besides, it was never his concern from the beginning."
Jeonghan’s eyes filled with tears. He blinked them away and replied, "Yeah, it’s our thing. It’s about us. It's us."
Silence enveloped them. One was reflecting on how things might have been different if he had been braver in the past, while the other regretted maintaining things as they were, even now.
Seven years later, they crossed paths once more. The old hurt seemed to resurface, as they encountered each other in a hill station—one there for a business purpose and the other for volunteering in a nearby village.
